A workshop in Hodeidah on mobilization for agriculture
The local authority in Hodeidah governorate, in cooperation with the Governorate’s Agricultural
Committee, organized yesterday a workshop on mobilizing official and popular efforts to start working on the agricultural front to achieve self-sufficiency in the districts of the eastern square of the governorate.
The workshop aimed at providing managers and supervisors of directorates, engineers and managers of agricultural offices, and farmers from the districts of the Eastern Square and Bonyan Development Foundation, skills on how to use the available resources in the direction of agriculture.
The proposals regarding the success of the agricultural revolution in the various directorates and the executive mechanism to move towards cultivating areas of agricultural land in a way that achieves self-sufficiency were discussed.
The governorate’s assistant undersecretary and the head of the governorate’s agricultural committee, Mutahar Yahya Al-Hadi, referred to the outputs of the workshop held in the capital, Sana’a, for the provincial agricultural committees and the mechanism for forming agricultural committees in the district and isolation.
He stressed the importance of supporting the agricultural trend to reach self-sufficiency in grains and agricultural crops, especially within the constant siege of the US-Saudi aggression, in a way that reinforces the culture of agriculture among the community, highlighting and activating the role of various sectors within the agricultural front.
