Minister of Industry urges attention to local manufacturing to achieve self-sufficiency
The Minister of Industry and Trade, Abdel-Wahab Yahya Al-Durra, urged the private sector to move towards local industrialization to gradually achieve self-sufficiency.
He focused on benefiting from agricultural products and local materials in manufacturing, praising the efforts of the private sector and its role in providing commodities, food and medicine materials and contributing to development efforts.
This came during the expanded meeting that was held, on Wednesday, in Sana’a, headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade Abdel-Wahab Al-Durra, to discuss ways to strengthen the existing partnership between the public and private sectors in all aspects.
The meeting reviewed prospects for strengthening the existing strategic partnership between the government and the private sector in the commercial and industrial aspects, in accordance with the specific duties and obligations of each party.
In the meeting, the Minister of Industry confirmed that this meeting marks the inauguration of the ministry’s plan for the new year within the framework of implementing the national vision to build the modern Yemeni state 2021-2025 to develop and strengthen the partnership with the private sector.
