Governor of Saada, the representative of UNICEF discuss the organization’s projects
Sa’ada governor Mohammed Awad discussed on Wednesday with UNICEF Resident Representative in Yemen Philippe Duamelle the UNICEF’s interventions in implementing projects in Sa’ada province.
In the meeting, governor Awad referred to the importance of doubling UNICEF support for education, sanitation and services projects for the year 2021 in the province.
He urged UNICEF to increase its activities and programs during the current year, considering UNICEF’s participation in the sanitation project as the biggest imprint it offers to the province.
Meanwhile, UNICEF Resident Representative Philippe confirmed that UNICEF will continue to support the province in various fields, especially programs related to Sa’ada children, specifically the fields of education, health and water.
In the meeting, Chairman of the Republican Hospital Authority in the province, Dr. Saleh Qurban, and Director of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation Mohammad al-Saadi presented a report on the stalled projects that were not adopted by UNICEF at the Water Corporation and the discontinuation of the authority’s employee’s incentives.
The meeting was attended by the governorate’s undersecretary for humanitarian affairs, Mohammed Hussein Baydan, and the governorate’s undersecretary for health affairs, Abdullah Al-Qasimi
