The Judicial Council briefed on the report on the progress of judicial work
The Supreme Judicial Council, in its weekly meeting, on Tuesday, chaired by the Council’s Chairman, Judge Ahmed Yahya Al-Mutawakel, was briefed on the report on the progress of judicial work in the courts and public prosecutions in the capital and the governorates.
The Council blessed the issuance of Law No. 1 of the year 2021 AD to amend some articles of the Procedure Law No. 40 of 2002, to bring justice to citizens, appreciate all efforts made in this aspect.
As well as the Council affirmed that it is the constitutional and legal institution that is the only body entrusted with managing the affairs of the judicial authority and enforcing the law regarding the rights and duties of judges, closely monitoring the work of courts and prosecution offices, and issuing any directives or decisions related to this.
The Council decided on some grievances filed by some judges and members of the Public Prosecution Office.
The council also reviewed many topics on its agenda and took appropriate decisions in their regard.
