Saudi Arabia, Greece Sign Agreement to Supply Kingdom with ‘Patriot’ Systems
Reuters quoted an informed source, on Tuesday, that Saudi Arabia and Greece signed agreement to supply Kingdom with Patrio” air defense missile systems.
“The agreement was signed in Riyadh by both parties,” said a Greek diplomat. The Greek official stated that American-made Patriot systems would be used to protect the most important energy installations in Kingdom.
The conclusion of the agreement comes after Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, earlier Tuesday, received the Greek foreign and defense ministers.
Saudi Arabia aims to protect its military and oil facilities from attacks by Ansarullah, which means that Riyadh is continuing its war and does not seek peace, through the continued purchase of weapons and air defense systems.
It should be noted that the war on Yemen has entered its seventh year amid an air, land and sea blockade on the country, which has caused the worst humanitarian crisis in modern era, according to the United Nations.
