Ambassador of Yemen in Damascus discusses the situation of Yemeni community in Syria
The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen in Syria, Abdullah Sabri, discussed with the President and members of the Yemeni Community Council in Syria the situation of Yemeni residents and the difficulties they face.
Ambassador Sabri stressed that the embassy will spare no effort to support the residents in a way that preserves their rights and preserves their dignity, and helps them to overcome the ordeal of the aggression and the siege on Yemen and Syria.
He also blessed the formation of the community council and the administrative body.
In the meeting, which was attended by the military advisor, Colonel Sharaf al-Mawri, the members of the Yemeni community council valued the Yemeni embassy’s interest in the community’s children, its follow-up on their affairs, and the direction they saw towards institutionalizing the council’s work to perform the role entrusted to it towards the community, integrating with the diplomatic mission.
The community council held a meeting in Damascus to organize the work of the Yemeni community, follow up the affairs of Yemeni residents in Syria, and represent them in accordance with the laws and procedures followed in Syria.
The meeting approved the selection of an administrative body for the council headed by Mohammed Naji al-Awlaki to achieve common aspirations.
