The military media distributed, today Wednesday,  scenes of the wreckage of the American spy plane (Scan Eagel), which was shot down while it was carrying out hostile actions in the Al-Juba area in the Ma’rib governorate.

The Armed Forces Spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, confirmed yesterday that the air defenses had shot down an American Scan Eagle plane with a suitable weapon, indicating that the plane was shot down while it was carrying out hostile acts in the airspace of the Juba region.

Brigadier-General Saree pointed out that this plane is the fifth of the same type that our air defenses were able to shoot down during this year.

The Scan Eagle is an unmanned reconnaissance plane, characterized by its small size and high altitude.

The Scan Eagle weighs between 14 and 18 kg, has a speed of 148 km per hour, and can stay in the air for 24 hours at an altitude of five thousand and 950 meters.

The ScanEagle aircraft has proven its ability to perform missions and perform combat missions faster than any unmanned tactical air system, as well as its system has entered the possession of about 12 armies in the world.
