Chairman of the National Committee for Demining: We Complet the Opening of Sanaa Street in Hodeidah and the Removal of Bombs , Remnants of the Aggression and its Mercenaries
Brigadier Ali Safra, the head of the National Committee for Demining, confirmed the completion of opening and clearing Sanaa Street in Hodeidah from bombs and remnants of the aggression, pointing out that the committee has put up warning signs for citizens.
He explained to Al-Masirah today, Tuesday, that the capabilities of field work in clearing mines have become dilapidated and do not meet the work or clearing a single street in Hodeidah, stressing that the coalition of aggression prevents the entry of modern devices.
He cautioned that there are multiple bombs used by the aggression on the western coast, where the aggression conducted a field of experiments, noting that the committee found cluster bombs that it had not encountered before.
Brigadier Ali Safra explained that the death of a female citizen in Hodeidah by a bomb left over from the aggression is an indication of a looming humanitarian catastrophe due to the spread of bombs in large areas.
He pointed out that the development program canceled all five pillars related to the demining program in Yemen, including the activity of identifying affected areas.
Brigadier General Ali Safra indicated that the National Committee for Demining addressed humanitarian and international organizations with the need to secure all the requirements of the committee, but it did not receive any response.
