President Al-Mashat: We are not against Extending the Armistice, but What is not Possible is Accepting any Armistice in which the Suffering of our People Continues

The head of the Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, affirmed today, Sunday, that we are not against extending the truce, but what is not possible is accepting any truce in which the suffering of our people continues.

In his speech on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the blessed Yemeni unity, President Al-Mashat explained that the steadfastness of the truce is due to the high level of patience and restraint that Sana’a showed. He called for real and encouraging cooperation that leads to improving the humanitarian and economic advantages in any upcoming calm.

President Al-Mashat said: “More humanitarian and economic solutions must be discussed as a strict priority called for by the necessity of alleviating the suffering of the besieged Yemeni people.”

He said, “We welcome all the good efforts that are directed in this direction, and we realize that the peace process requires gradation and multiple courses of action, and we return all the reasons for prolonging the war to the wrong perceptions of the coalition of aggression and to the biased international position of the countries of aggression, which falls in one way or another among the reasons for prolonging the war.
