Minister of Agriculture: the national auction of Yemeni coffee is a marketing window for an important economic resource
The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Eng. Abdul-Malik Al-Thawr, was briefed on the procedures for implementing the first national auction of Yemeni coffee.
The Minister of Agriculture was also briefed on the technical equipment and the mechanism for receiving participants in the auction from producers, exporters and coffee growers, and the various stages of the auction activities.
On the sidelines of the visit, a meeting chaired by the Minister Al-Thawr, with members of the auction committee, discussed the mechanism for implementing the first national auction for Yemeni coffee in marketing, promoting and improving its image locally and globally.
The meeting stressed the importance of the auction in encouraging coffee communities to pay attention to production, raise quality, expand the scope of marketing for Yemeni coffee, open new opportunities and markets, and contribute to improving the living standards of coffee communities in Yemen to sell their high-quality products at competitive prices.
The Minister pointed out to the importance of the first national auction of Yemeni coffee to contribute to providing the best products of coffee, which is the second most important commodity in the world after oil.
