The agreement to open three roads during the Amman negotiations: Al-Razami

The head of the National Military Committee of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, Major General Yahya Abdullah Al-Razami, described the negotiations and consultations that took place in the Jordanian capital, Amman, on opening roads as positive.

“The negotiations were positive and we came out with the opening of three roads. It was an initiative we gave from the first day of the negotationas, but the other party wanted to delay what we proposed and wanted more from us,” Major General Al-Razami said in a press conference held at Sana’a Airport upon his return and members of the National Military Committee to Sana’a from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

“There are proposals put forward by the United Nations that we will discuss with the leadership in Sana’a and we will return to complete the remaining initiatives, and we are ready with the initiative that we first suggested if we see from the other side the seriousness and reception of what was proposed of these initiatives, and we are also ready for what is greater according to the leadership’s directives,” he added.

Major General Al-Razami also stressed that the National Military Committee was negotiating on behalf of an entire people based on its commitment to peace, not surrender.

He indicated that the military committee went on May 22 to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan under the directives of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the head of the Supreme Political Council, His Excellency Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, to establish the truce and open roads.

The head of the Military Committee said, “The meetings that lasted for 16 days with the other side with the presence of the United Nations are based on peace and there is seriousness from everyone. In particular, we were the first to take the initiative and the first to arrive in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to open three lines under the directives of the supreme leadership to prove to the Yemeni people our keenness for peace and to safely move between all the governorates in general, Taiz in particular, while the other party demanded the opening of only one line.”
