The American (inkstick) website stated that the US Air Force participated in joint exercises with at least 80% of the Saudi air squadrons in the aggression against Yemen, in addition to other exercises that took place on American soil. The foreign affairs website pointed out that US arms sales to Saudi Arabia have left a moral hazard in Yemen. The more weapons Washington sends, the more innocent civilians are killed by Saudi Arabia, and this creates a vicious cycle in which Washington becomes increasingly implicated in these human rights violations. The website noted that the Departments of State and Defense in Washington failed to assess the number of civilian deaths in Yemen as a result of these American weapons. The site confirmed that public opinion supports ending these sales, as an opinion poll conducted by the Eurasia Group Foundation recently revealed that nearly 70% of Americans do not agree to the transfer of weapons to Saudi Arabia, and therefore, there are internal human rights, security and political reasons to stop arms sales to Saudi Arabia until a conclusion is reached to a permanent cease-fire in Yemen and an end to the aggression. According to the site, Biden administration will not change its policy towards Yemen, although doing so would improve US human rights policy. The American website reported that the Saudi-led human rights disaster in Yemen is the worst man-made disaster in the 21st century, calling on the United States to immediately stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia, and also called on the US military to stop joint military exercises after learning how the Saudi army is deliberately targeting civilians in Yemen.
