Airlines calls for the opening of a direct line between Sanaa and India to alleviate the suffering of travelers

The Yemeni Airlines Company revealed, on Tuesday, the reasons for the high costs of airline tickets, saying that “the high price of aircraft fuel, the lack of fuel at Sana’a Airport, and the high insurance of aircraft in Yemen cause high operating costs,” in addition to the US-Saudi aggression’s imposition of all A special permit trip, reflected negatively on the price hike.

The Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, Khalil Jahaf, called in his statement to Al Masirah TV to open a direct line between Sanaa and India, as this would reduce the material cost of travel by about 50%, noting that travelers “through the Sana’a Amman-Mumbai line need almost a full day to arrive.” to their destination due to multiple transits and the use of two carriers.”

He continued: “The opening of the Sanaa-Mumbai line would reduce the travel time to about 5 hours only without a transit and provide the value of the second ticket, this comes in light of the continued aggression that imposed restrictions and siege on Sana’a International Airport, and its refusal to extend the armistice.

In the same context, the head of the Supreme Medical Committee in Sanaa, Mutaher al-Darwish, said that patients are stuck in Amman because international airlines have refused to transport them due to their inability to travel healthily for long periods of time, which has compounded their suffering.
