Iranian Foreign Ministry summons British ambassador in Tehran
Iran summoned the British ambassador to the Foreign Ministry on Saturday due to the continuation of the meddlesome statements of British officials about Iran’s internal developments and their support for terror and rioting and their imposition of illegal sanctions against a number of Iranian nationals, according Tasnim News Agency.
In the meeting, the head of the Third Division of Western Europe then stressed that efforts by Britain and the London-based and state-run media to keep the riots alive will get nowhere nor will they have any result other than increasing the Iranian people’s resentment at the persistence of London’s anti-Iran policies.
He was told that the attempts by the UK and the London-based and state-run media outlets to provide artificial respiration for the riots in Iran will get nowhere and will only deepen the Iranian people’s hatred for the UK’s anti-Iranian policies.
The British ambassador was informed that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to take retaliatory action to respond to the sanctions imposed by the UK
For his part, the ambassador said he would convey Iran’s concerns to London at the earliest.
