President confirms consultations with the Omani delegation were positive
President Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, chaired today, Monday, a meeting that included members of the Supreme Political Council, the Speakers of the House of Representatives and the Council of Ministers, and the Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs, during which he briefed them on the latest political developments and the results of the consultations with the Omani delegation that took place in Sana’a.
His Excellency President Al-Mashat indicated that the consultations with the Omani delegation bore positive ideas related to the humanitarian file, foremost of which is the payment of salaries to all state employees from oil and gas revenues, the full opening of Sana’a airport and the port of Hodeidah, the opening of roads and the exchange of prisoners.
The meeting affirmed that the humanitarian file has the most priority by all means, and it is the proper and correct step that should be implemented in order to move to other files.
The meeting valued the efforts made by the Sultanate of Oman and its keenness to advance the peace process in Yemen, which are commendable efforts that are valued and valued by the leadership in the Republic of Yemen.
The meeting also noted the keenness of the Supreme Political Council and the Salvation Government on the success of the efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and just peace, stressing the keenness to achieve stability in the region in a way that serves international peace and security.
Moreover, the meeting praised the steadfastness of all the Yemeni people in the face of the US-Saudi aggression and its unjust siege for eight years, which caused the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
The meeting renewed its call for those involved in treason to return to the homeland and benefit from the general amnesty decision, indicating that this call represents a valuable opportunity that should be exploited.
The meeting affirmed its strong condemnation of the mercenaries latest act, which raised the price of the illegal customs duties US dollar exchange rate to 750 riyals, and the rest of the economic measures that will lead to an increase in the prices of food and medicine commodities, oil derivatives, transportation fees, etc., and thus will constitute additional burdens on citizens throughout the Republic of Yemen, especially in the areas under occupation.
