Pompeo recognizes that the aggression against Yemen is an American project
The former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, acknowledged that the aggression against Yemen is an American project par excellence, and that the Saudi regime was only a tool and a front to help the United States of America achieve its own goals in this aggression.
In his recently released memoirs, Pompeo wrote that the first task that Mohammed bin Salman did when he became the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia was to “help” the United States of America in confronting what he called Iranian influence in Yemen, which is the most prominent propaganda used by Washington and Riyadh to justify the criminal war on the Yemeni people.
This statement represents a clear acknowledgment that the decision to attack Yemen is an American decision par excellence, which is also confirmed by the declaration of this aggression from Washington DC, along with numerous confessions and documented evidence that explicitly confirmed that the United States manages all the details of the current operations taking place in the war, in addition to the imposed siege. Also, the US is a main participant in the crimes being committed against the Yemeni civilians.
Many members of Congress have confirmed this fact over the past years, and have called on the White House to end its support for Saudi Arabia and the UAE, as to end the war and lift the blockade imposed on the Yemeni people; however, all successive US administrations ignored all of that.
