More than 224 million dollars the losses of the Yemeni media as a result of the aggression ,the blockade

Today, the Ministry of Information organized a press conference to review the crimes and damages of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression against the national media over the past 8 years.

The ministry stated that the total damage suffered by the Yemeni media during the 8 years of aggression amounted to more than 224 million dollars, an estimated amount of more than 134 billion riyals.

It indicated that the number of dead of the national media, led by the war media, amounted to 337 dead during the years of aggression and siege.

It added that the coalition of aggression targeted the ministry with 3 raids on 11 / Ramadan / 1440 AH, which led to severe damage to the building and its attachments and put it out of service.

It pointed out that the countries of the American-Saudi aggression imposed a media blockade and tried to isolate Yemen in the media from the world.

The ministry indicated that the material losses of the ministry amounted to an estimated 10 million dollars, equivalent to 6 billion riyals.

It pointed out that the aggression caused the TV and radio broadcasts of the national media to be dropped via satellite, explaining that the aggression coalition had reproduced and falsified official channels, radio stations, and the Yemeni news agency, Saba.

It said that the aggression prevented and imposed restrictions on the entry of Arab and foreign journalists and media delegations, for 143 journalists and delegations.

The ministry stated that the aggression destroyed Al-Masirah channel building in Saada, and inflicted material losses on the building and the technical and technical equipment estimated at one million dollars. Severe damage to Al-Iman channel building and the Yemen satellite channel was damaged.

It added that the building of satellite transmissions and broadcasting dishes was targeted. The aggression also destroyed 29 buildings of radio transmission sites in the governorates.
