The Speaker of Shura Council meets with the delegation of the tribes of Abyan, Shabwa and Al-Bayda, visiting the capital, Sana’a

The Speaker of the Shura Council, Muhammad Hussein Al-Aidarous, met today with the delegation of Abyan, Shabwa and Al-Bayda tribes, who are visiting the capital, Sana’a, in an effort to release the captive Faisal Rajab.

During the meeting, which was attended by a number of members of the Council from the southern and eastern governorates and the Secretary General of the Council, Ali Abdul-Mughni, the Speaker of the Shura Council praised the honorable patriotic stances of the people of Abyan, Shabwa and Al-Bayda in their confrontation with the British occupation forces and their struggle in defending the Yemeni revolution of September 26, October 14 and September 21 and their role in achieving independence in 1967 AD.

He said, “The free people of the southern and eastern governorates are still following the path of their ancestors in fighting injustice and tyranny and rejecting all forms of old and new colonialism.”
