Yemen’s Leadership Discusses Developmental Projects and Future Aspirations

In a significant gathering held on Sunday, His Excellency Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, chaired an expanded meeting with local authority leaders, the executive office, members of the House of Representatives and the Shura Council, and social figures in the capital’s secretariat.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking officials including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yahya Al-Ra’i, Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Dr. Rashid Abu Luhum. During the meeting, President Al-Mashat expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the completion of various projects inaugurated in the capital’s secretariat. These projects, including Madbah Bridge and others currently under execution, are estimated to cost 58 billion and 500 million riyals.

President Al-Mashat commended the sincere efforts of all staff working in various streets from the employees of the capital’s secretariat. He noted their high morale and dedication, which coincides with the Yemeni people’s celebrations of September holidays and preparations to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him).

Speaking from the capital of steadfastness and challenge, a city rich in history, civilization, and culture, President Al-Mashat extended his greetings to all Yemenis. He congratulated everyone on the eternal September holidays and also on the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him), an occasion celebrated by Yemenis across all governorates.

President Al-Mashat expressed his admiration for the works and achievements he witnessed during his laying of the foundation stone for this year’s projects. These projects are estimated to cost more than 21 billion riyals in the capital’s secretariat. He pointed out that these projects will be implemented next year with sincere efforts from all members of the secretariat led by the Secretary of Capital who is making sincere efforts under current circumstances.

He stressed on everyone to double their efforts to make Capital Secretariat at level with aspirations and sacrifices of Yemeni people. He said: “We want Yemeni Republic’s capital to be a capital worthy of sacrifices and aspirations of our people”.

At the end of his speech, His Excellency President expressed his thanks to all those present and especially thanked Sheikh Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i.

The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, delivered a speech in which he welcomed His Excellency Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council. He expressed his high appreciation for His Excellency President chairing this meeting to review overall performance of Capital Secretariat.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Capital Dr. Hamoud Abad expressed his thanks to President Al-Mashat for his patronage and continued support for Capital Secretariat. He pointed out that opening these service and developmental projects comes in midst of celebrations of Yemeni people on ninth anniversary of September 21 revolution.

Despite facing limited capabilities due to the aggression and siege, the Capital Secretariat has managed to present a commendable model, with the hope of achieving even more in the future. The leadership does not commence its work path from its limited capabilities, but rather, it follows the example set by the heroes who have achieved victory on the fronts of honor.
