In a significant show of military strength and technological prowess, Yemen celebrated the ninth anniversary of the September 21 revolution with a grand military parade in the capital, Sana’a. The event, held at Al-Sabeen Square, was far from ordinary. Toufan missiles were also revealed during this event. This is a ground-to-ground ballistic missile that operates using liquid fuel known for its long range as well as accurate hit capabilities.
The Mutee missile was revealed during this event. This is a ground-to-air ballistic missile that operates using solid fuel known for its aerial maneuverability as well as high speed capabilities.
Various other types of missiles were also showcased during this event including Sa’ir missiles along with Red Sea missiles as well Karar missiles among others.
Several new defense systems were also unveiled during this event including Sadeq system and Haider system. These two systems are capable of detecting targets and tracking them from a distance between 40-50 km.
The curtain was also lifted on the Russian B19 radar system that can detect targets from a distance of 200 km. The armed forces also showcased Thaqeb 2,3 systems and Fater defensive systems.
Brigadier Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation and its people. He vowed to persist in their dedicated efforts until complete airspace protection is achieved.
