Commander of the Fifth Military Region: Any escalation in Gaza will be matched by an escalation in the Red Sea
The Commander of the Fifth Military Region, Major General Yousef Al-Madani, stated on Monday that the Red Sea front is part of the Palestine front, and Yemen is an integral part of the battle for Palestine.
He emphasized that any escalation or truce in Gaza is tantamount to an escalation or truce in the Red Sea. He clarified that any country or party preventing Yemen from supporting Palestine will be met with appropriate confrontation.
Al-Madani called for heightened readiness to confront threats, stating, “We should focus on increasing our readiness to address any potential threats that may arise, as the enemy may seek retaliation after feeling provoked.”
He explained that the interception of the Israeli ship Galaxy Leader occurred under very complex circumstances, approximately 120 km away from the Yemeni coast.
He pointed out that the operation took place while the enemy was in a cautious position, with the Americans present in the Red Sea and in proximity to the Galaxy Leader ship.
