Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Condemns Foreign Aggression, Vows Retribution

SANA’A, Yemen – The Supreme Political Council of Yemen issued a strong statement today, condemning the recent aggression by American and British forces on the capital city of Sana’a and other provinces. The council affirmed that such acts of aggression will be met with appropriate retribution.

The council expressed its outrage at the brutal aggression carried out by what it referred to as the “Zionist trio” against the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen. The latest of these aggressions involved several air raids on the capital city of Sana’a and some provinces on Friday evening.

The Supreme Political Council clarified that the American-British assault is a savage aggression against a sovereign country. It will be met with discipline for the aggressors and those who violate all international laws and infringe upon the sovereignty of countries. The council reaffirmed that the Republic of Yemen is committed to supporting its brethren in Gaza, regardless of the level of aggression.

The council reiterated that the aggressors will be disciplined for every blatant violation of our country’s sovereignty. It explained that the tyranny of the aggressors is dragging them into the quagmire of Yemen, from which they cannot easily escape.

The Supreme Political Council pointed out that Sana’a shares with its brethren in Gaza the criminality of Zionism, which is a matter of pride for the Yemenis. The council confirmed that Sana’a will remain the capital of the free and is committed to defending the oppressed in Gaza and Palestine.
