Today, Thursday, the Gaza Municipality sent an “urgent appeal,” calling on all concerned parties to intervene urgently to provide fuel to resupply water to citizens and save residents from a state of extreme thirst and health and environmental crises resulting from water shortages.
The Gaza Municipality said in its appeal: All water wells in the city have stopped completely for more than 10 days due to the depletion of scarce amounts of fuel.
It warned that the city is now experiencing a state of extreme thirst due to the water outage, especially with the continued cessation of water pumping from “Mekorot” line since October 9 of last year and the complete destruction of the desalination plant in the north of the city.
It also pointed out that the crisis has now reached its peak as temperatures begin to rise and consumption increases.
The Israeli enemy forces, supported by the United States and Europe, continue to commit the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, for the 195th day in a row, by launching dozens of air strikes and artillery shelling, while committing bloody massacres against civilians, and carrying out horrific crimes in the areas of incursion ,amid a catastrophic humanitarian situation,
as a result of the siege and the displacement of more than 90 percent of the population.
