The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club counted the arrest of 8,430 Palestinians by the Israeli enemy in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem since October 7th.
It pointed out that prisoners in the prisons of the Israeli enemy face systematic crimes and violations, “the most severe and cruelest in history.” He confirmed that the Israeli enemy authorities committed “horrific and dangerous crimes against prisoners, which led to the martyrdom of at least 16 prisoners,” while the enemy continues to “commit the crime of enforced disappearance against Gaza detainees.”
In this context, the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority said that the Israeli enemy prison administration continues its crime against prisoner Yaqoub Qadiri (51 years old) from the town of Bir al-Basha in Jenin governorate, by isolating him in the cells for the 32nd month in a row.
The Commission explained, in a statement, that the policy of revenge against Qadri, who has been detained since 2003 and has been sentenced to life imprisonment, began from the first moment of his re-arrest, after he and five of his companions were able to extract their freedom from “Gilboa” prison, on September 6, 2021.
It pointed out that the escalation against him occurred with the launch of the retaliatory policy against male and female detainees since October 7, as he was transferred several times between the cells of Ohli Kedar, Ashkelon, and Rimonim prisons. During all of this, the jailers deliberately insulted and insulted him, threatening him with death and that he would be taken out of prison in a black plastic bag.
This comes as the Israeli enemy’s arrests of Palestinians escalate in the cities of the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, after October 7, as the ongoing campaigns include all Palestinian groups, so that arrests are carried out in an organized manner, whether from homes, through military checkpoints, or by those pushed by the enemy to surrender themselves under pressure, as well as those who were held hostage.
