Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Reaffirms Support for Palestine, Warns Against Any Hostile Escalation

In a meeting held on Tuesday, the Supreme Political Council of Yemen, led by Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, reiterated Yemen’s unwavering stance in support of Palestine against the brutal Zionist aggression on Gaza, backed by the United States and the West.

The council emphasized the importance of maintaining the cohesion and resilience of the Yemeni internal front in the face of American and British conspiracies. At the same time, it affirmed that the official authorities are committed to taking decisive actions against anyone involved in destabilizing the internal front.

The council warned against any hostile American escalation against the security and stability of Yemen, pointing out that the suspicious preparations underway to bend Yemen and weaken its active and influential role, which stems from the religious and humanitarian duty to defend Palestine, will fail.

The council cautioned about the risks and implications of any escalation, stating, “The repercussions of any escalation will not stop at the borders of Yemen, nor will they affect the honorable Yemeni position, the resilience of the Yemeni people, and the bravery of the armed forces at all levels.”

The meeting praised the successful military operations carried out by the Yemeni army, represented by its naval, missile, and drone forces, in the strategic battle that the Yemeni Republic and all the free people in the world are fighting in defense of the oppressed Palestinian people and Islamic sanctities.

The meeting noted the significant and noticeable development that the military operations have witnessed and the enemy’s failure to hinder the Yemeni decision to prevent the passage of ships associated with the Zionist entity through the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Indian Ocean, which has been added to the target bank of the Yemeni forces.

The Supreme Political Council affirmed that the ships of all countries of the world are safe in their passage in the Red Sea, the Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and the Indian Ocean, except for the ships associated with the Israeli enemy and the American and British ships after their aggression on Yemen.

The council meeting reiterated its firm position towards the security and stability of the region and the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and the Indian Ocean, pointing out that all the measures taken by the armed forces do not contradict international and humanitarian law.

President Al-Mashat briefed the members of the Political Council on the developments regarding the political file, stressing that it is incumbent on the Saudi side to move from the square of de-escalation to the square of peace entitlements according to the roadmap reached with the Saudi side.

He also affirmed that Saudi Arabia should prioritize its national interest over the American interest in its negotiating path in Yemen, as it is concerned with positively proceeding to complete this path and not to procrastinate or hesitate about it.

The Supreme Political Council congratulated all the workers of the Yemeni Republic who, with their patience and resilience, were able to achieve many victories in the battle of construction, similar to what was achieved in the battle of steadfastness and resilience.

It pointed out that the American-Saudi aggression is persisting in tightening the living conditions of the Yemeni people through the economic blockade imposed on Yemen and hindering progress in any political solutions that would ensure the implementation of humanitarian entitlements, foremost among which is the payment of salaries and the benefit of all Yemenis from their wealth.
