The American magazine “Foreign Policy” recently published a report that highlighted the deterioration of the military capabilities of the US Navy, noting that it is subject to significant attrition in the face of Sana’a forces with advanced military capabilities, especially in the field of drones and ballistic missiles.
The American magazine monitored the repercussions of the Yemeni military operations in the Red Sea, saying that “after twenty years of largely (uncontested deployments) in the Middle East, the US Navy now has an adversary that will return fire,” in reference to the courage of the Yemeni military operations and their ability to Undermining the American deployment aimed at protecting the occupation and Washington’s interests in the region.
The report shows that the US Navy is facing a war of attrition against the Yemeni forces, which have increasing experience in the field of missile defense and drones.
The “Policy” report indicates that the Sana’a forces, in addition to accumulating military experience, are waging a harmful war of attrition against American precision munitions, which is worrying and of great importance.
The American magazine clarifies this matter, saying that the US Navy consumed in one day of the intense confrontation in the Red Sea in front of the Sana’a forces the total number of precision “Tomahawk” missiles it had purchased in 2023.
The Bullseye report quotes General Michael Corella, head of US Central Command, as explaining that this huge attrition of the US Navy is occurring while the Sanaa forces “can replace all the equipment destroyed by the US attacks” in a very quick time.
The report published by the magazine under the title “The US Navy is unable to build ships” monitored the major weaknesses of the US Navy in the face of major threats, most notably the military competition with China.
In this context, the French website Meta Defense, which specializes in military affairs, published a report two weeks ago in which it confirmed that the Yemeni tactics in attacking American and British ships in the Red Sea undermined the US Navy’s certainty that its naval fleet could not be confronted.
The French report explains that until recently, the American Navy was boasting that it was the best in the world and that nothing could confront the weapons on board American warships, indicating that this confidence was dissipated as “Yemeni tactics undermined that American certainty.”
The report, titled “Missile consumption against Yemeni drones and anti-ship missiles, worries the US Navy,” explained, “It is easily possible for the Yemenis to place hostile warships at their mercy at any time, as they launched an attack with a large number of drones to exhaust the stock of destroyers of interceptor missiles.”
The report confirms that, with the Yemeni forces using this technique, enemy warships will not be able to confront any attack, and Sana’a forces can then use a ballistic missile or cruise missile that is more destructive and lethal than drones to strike enemy ships.
The manifestations of American-British defeat against the Sanaa forces are escalating as the latter managed to shoot down the fourth American plane during the period of military support for Gaza.
They also continue targeting ships belonging to the enemy entity and other hostile ones, including naval vessels belonging to the American and British navies, without the ability of the latter to stop it.
Throughout the past phase, Sanaa forces were also able to expand the scope of their military operations in support of Gaza, extending from the Mediterranean Sea to the Cape of Good Hope, which confirms the failure of the American-European alliance aimed at protecting Israeli interests in the seas.
