The death toll of the massacre committed by the Zionist enemy forces in Nuseirat camp rose to 274 martyrs and about 700 wounded, according to the government media office.
The government media office in Gaza said: Among the martyrs were 64 children and 57 women, noting that the enemy army used two civilian cars to commit Nuseirat massacre. The number of casualties reached 698, including 153 children, 161 women, and 54 elderly people, and the rest were civilians who were present in the Nuseirat market and its surroundings and in neighboring homes.
It confirmed that the enemy soldiers who participated in Nuseirat massacre disguised themselves as displaced persons, and that the enemy bombed 89 inhabited homes and residential buildings during the massacre.
The media office explained that the Israeli enemy army used two civilian cars in the Nuseirat massacre, the first a small civilian car, and the second a transport vehicle carrying items, bedding and aid.
This appeared clear in the video clips circulated by the media, in addition to that the soldiers participating in the massacre assumed characters as if they were displaced persons. They are wearing civilian clothes as part of planning to commit a horrific massacre against civilians, children and women.
This matter was repeated on previous occasions when the enemy committed a massacre months ago in the New Camp area north of the Nuseirat Camp, when the enemy army stormed the New Camp in civilian clothes in ambulances with medical and health signs on them.
This criminal method completely violates all international laws that criminalize these methods, as the occupation army at that time killed more than 14 martyrs in the previous crime in the new camp.
Earlier, Palestinian human rights organizations said in a statement that the enemy forces launched a massive attack by land and air on the Nuseirat camp and the entire central Gaza Strip, which lasted 75 minutes in a massive use of lethal firepower in the middle of an area densely populated and displacedwithout consideration or value for what could be achieved to attack them, while carrying out a special “military operation” to free 4 of its detainees.
According to the statement; an Israeli special force infiltrated two civilian vehicles, one a Caddy and the other a large truck, into the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.
These forces raided two houses in Block 5 of the camp, shortly after, the enemy forces began a ground attack with a large number of tanks into the camp from three axes, Abu Assi station southeast, Jisr al-Wadi area northeast of the camp, and Al-Mughraqa area and new camp north of the camp.
The statement added: At the same time, enemy aircraft bombed 5 houses directly over the heads of their residents in the camp, while launching intense raids and fire belts in Block 5, Al-Hasayna area, and the new camp.
The infiltration of enemy forces and the intense bombing coincided with the rush hour in the Nuseirat camp market, where thousands were shopping on the first day of the week, noting that Nuseirat had taken refuge there, in addition to its tens of thousands of displaced residents from the east of the central governorate and from Rafah.
Enemy aircraft also launched several raids and bombed several homes in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip in conjunction with the event in Nuseirat.
The organizations said: Ambulance and rescue crews faced extreme difficulties in transporting the victims, many of whom were torn to pieces, and some of whom were beheaded as a result of the bombing.
It stated that its crews are still working to document all the grave violations committed by the enemy forces during their ground attack, including the circumstances of the martyrdom of a large number of victims and counting the numbers of children and women among them, as well as the homes that were destroyed on top of their residents.
According to preliminary information, the vast majority of the victims are civilians, male and female. They were killed under the rubble of their homes or while in the streets, and some of them while trying to flee after discovering the Israeli forces.
The organizations – the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, and Al-Haq – confirmed that this operation is an example of the enemy forces’ violation of the principle of proportionality and necessity, and a blatant expression of their disdain for the lives of thousands of Palestinian civilians, given their policy followed so far of permissing civilians and turning them into legitimate targets in the context of revenge and political pressure, and within the crime of genocide.
