The Executive Center for Mine Action renewed its warning to citizens in Hodeidah governorate and other governorates against approaching mines, cluster bombs and war remnants that were swept away by floods to various areas.

The center confirmed in a statement that these remnants that were swept away by floods from contaminated sites to residential and agricultural areas represent an additional threat to civilians in light of the continued heavy rains and floods that Hodeidah and other governorates have witnessed during the past hours.

The center called on farmers, sheep and camel herders in the valleys, farms, deserts and areas close to the population in the city of Hodeidah that are contaminated with these wastes not to tamper with them, and in the event of finding strange objects that were swept away by the floods to their areas, to inform the center’s operations on the following numbers: (777666519) WhatsApp, or call (01835882).

The statement indicated that the teams affiliated with the Executive Center for Dealing with Mine Action are working in coordination with the rest of the parties on an ongoing basis to protect citizens in all areas affected by floods and others.
