717 Martyrs and 10,900 arrests in the West Bank since October 7

717 Palestinians were martyred by Israeli enemy forces in the West Bank while the Zionist enemy forces carried out 10,900 arrests in the West Bank and Jerusalem since October 7, 2023, according to official data from Palestinian institutions.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a brief statement today, Wednesday, that with the martyrdom of the young man Yahya Awad (32 years old), in Al-Fawwar camp at dawn today, the number of martyrs in the West Bank since October 7 has risen to 717 martyrs.

The number of martyrs since October 7 was distributed as follows: 160 martyrs were children, 10 martyrs were women, and 9 martyrs were elderly.

On the field level, the Israeli enemy forces arrested at least 35 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank since the evening until this morning, Wednesday.

Among the detainees is a woman who was arrested as a hostage, and prisoners who were recently released, most of whom were under administrative detention, and the enemy re-arrested them again, according to a joint statement issued by the Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club.

The arrests were distributed across most of the West Bank governorates, accompanied by the implementation of large-scale raids in several areas, severe beatings, field investigations, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to the widespread acts of sabotage and destruction in Palestinian homes.

It is noteworthy that the number of arrests since the beginning of the ongoing war of extermination and comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank has reached more than 10,900 Palestinians from the West Bank, including Jerusalem. It is noteworthy that the Zionist enemy forces continue to escalate the arrest campaigns in the West Bank, which constitute the most prominent fixed and systematic policies used by the enemy forces, with the aim of undermining any escalating confrontation. It is noteworthy that the data related to the arrest cases include detainees from the West Bank without Gaza, whose numbers are estimated in the thousands.
