SPEECH BY AL-SAYYID ABDUL MALIK BADRUDDIN AL-HOUTHI ON THE LATEST WEEKLY DEVELOPMENTS
Thursday, the 28th of Rabi’ Al Thani 1446 A.H. (the 31st of October 2024 A.D.)
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the outcast.
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
Praise is to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. I believe that there is no god but Allah, the Sovereign and the Manifest Truth, and that Muhammad, our master, is His servant, Messenger, and Last Prophet.
O Allah, confer Your salat and blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad as You conferred Your salat and blessings upon Ibrahim and the Family of Ibrahim. You are Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! And be pleased with Muhammad’s good companions and all Your righteous servants and mujahidin.
Brothers and sisters, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
At the end of the first month of the second year of the brutal, criminal, and savage Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip—an aggression that has recently extended to include Lebanon—this week’s updates and developments reveal over twenty-five bloody massacres committed by the Israeli enemy, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of more than 1,400 Palestinians, the majority of whom are children and women.
The Israeli enemy continues committing its crimes of genocide, targeting the Palestinian people throughout the Gaza Strip, with a particular focus on the northern part. Over the course of four weeks, more than 1,250 people have been martyred according to announced statistics. This does not include the large number of injured individuals.
The Israeli enemy in the northern part of the Gaza Strip aims to implement the plans of its criminal generals and bloodthirsty officers, who have devised a plan to completely drive out the population in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. The aim behind this is to move to another phase in the rest of the Gaza Strip, as it seeks to drive the Palestinian people out of the Gaza Strip, starting from the north of the strip. To execute this aggressive plan, they are committing the most heinous crimes of genocide against the residents in northern Gaza. This includes mass killings of the population. They kill them in their homes by destroying their homes over their heads, seeking to exterminate them inside their homes. They are also targeting those who seek refuge in shelter centres, where they gather in tens of thousands. They target some by airstrikes or artillery shelling, and others by direct incursions. During such incursions, they directly attack them and use force, violence, and crime to drive them out of shelter centres before separating many of them from the rest with the aim of abducting them—hundreds of civilians get abducted.
They also carry out assaults on those who exit the shelters, targeting them in the streets with artillery shelling and sniper attacks, as well as other forms of targeting. They have displaced tens of thousands from the northern part of the Gaza Strip to the city of Gaza, using bombardment and all forms of assault.
Among the horrific crimes was the major crime committed by the Israeli enemy in Beit Lahiya, where it targeted a large five-story building, killing all the children and women inside. It commits very heinous crimes against the residents, targeting them through direct killing and through the use of starvation as a weapon. It prevents food from reaching them and imposes a severe blockade. Additionally, it is working to eliminate all medical services by targeting hospitals, hospital medical staff, patients, and wounded individuals, attempting to ensure that no medical assistance is provided to the people. This is part of the enemy’s efforts to destroy all essentials of life and survival in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
It continues its crimes in the other parts of the Gaza Strip in all forms and types: blockade, starvation, killing of civilians in shelters and elsewhere, and other kinds of crimes. This is in addition to its ongoing crimes against captives and abductees, which are among the most horrific and perhaps unparalleled to those committed in prisons and detention centres around the world or committed by criminals globally. No one matches the Israeli enemy in its criminality, which is committed with Western encouragement, support, and clear complicity from many regimes worldwide. Among these acts is the assault carried out by the Zionists against a group of Palestinian prisoners, including a prominent leader of Fatah, Marwan Barghouti, and his fellow inmate. This illustrates that the Israeli enemy targets all segments of the Palestinian people, regardless of their political affiliations. This is evident.
In the context of Israeli aggression, the Israeli enemy has issued what it calls a law, following the Israeli typical pattern characterised by aggression, criminality, and injustice. Even what it refers to as laws often tend to have aggressive and unjust language that confiscates rights or decides some acts of aggression or crimes. The Israeli enemy has issued what it calls a law prohibiting the activities of UNRWA and its humanitarian efforts for the Palestinian people, despite the UNRWA being a branch of the United Nations, an organisation affiliated to the UN whose activities are humanitarian: It clearly provides services in nutrition, education, and various humanitarian aspects that are well-known globally. Nonetheless, the Israeli enemy even labels the provision of these humanitarian services as terrorist activities. It describes providing food to Palestinian children, women, and residents and to Palestinian society as a terrorist act. When milk is provided to infants, the Israeli enemy characterises that as a terrorist activity! Likewise, the Israeli enemy labels any humanitarian service related to medical care, education, or other forms of assistance for the Palestinian people as a terrorist activity!
As for killing thousands of children and women, committing genocide against the Palestinian people, starving millions of them, and torturing prisoners and abductees in the most horrific ways, along with all the other criminal practices that it is doing, the Israeli enemy calls these actions as ‘just practices’! Furthermore, it labels its aggression as a just war! This is not different from the American view: The Americans, the leading sponsor, call all of this as self-defence and use other descriptions that attempt to beautify the actions of the Israeli enemy!
With the horrific crimes, genocide, starvation, and complete blockade imposed by the Israeli enemy on the Palestinian people, who struggle even to access drinking water and all basic necessities of life, the arrival of winter increases the suffering. Considering these extremely harsh conditions, the severe blockade, and the lack of all essential life necessities, this will expose hundreds of thousands of Palestinian people to various diseases, particularly children, the elderly, and the sick. Everyone there suffers from malnutrition and may face significant suffering and health-related challenges that come with winter due to the lack of heating supplies and essential life necessities.
In addition to its crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli enemy also continues its crimes in the West Bank. It uses all forms of aggression to target the Palestinian people in the West Bank, and it sticks to its practices that have become a typical pattern of varied tactics, including incursions, killings, home demolitions, and abductions. On top of that, the Israeli enemy continues to violate the Islamic sanctities. It violates the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque through repeated incursions by Zionists, with no week passing without such actions. These are ongoing violations and desecration of the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Additionally, the Israeli enemy is planning for a graduation ceremony for a group of its criminal soldiers in the area of the Buraq Wall, which is a very provocative and troubling move. Indeed, this criminal act deeply offends the feelings of Muslims, especially those who still hold even a trace of belonging to Islam.
Regarding its aggression against Lebanon, the Israeli enemy targets the Lebanese people throughout the country, especially in southern Lebanon and Dahieh. It employs its usual criminal methods in inflicting comprehensive destruction on villages and towns and targeting their residents. Those who have not been forcibly displaced are at risk of being targeted by bombardment and killing. As a result of this widespread targeting of residents in towns and villages, many residents have been martyred or injured. There is also the systematic targeting of all services provided to them, including hospitals, medical services, ambulances, and municipalities that deliver civil services to the residents. It also targets journalists and media outlets to prevent the truth from reaching the world. Women and children in Lebanon make the majority of those martyred by the Israeli aggression against the Lebanese people. Most of the injured are also women and children, similar to the situation in Gaza.
This week’s developments also include the Israeli aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran. Regardless of the extent of the resulting damage, this is a violation of sovereignty, a true act of aggression, and an attempt by the Israeli enemy, along with America (its partner in all its crimes and aggressions), to impose an unjust and oppressive equation targeting our entire Islamic Ummah: an all-permissible equation. That is, the Israeli enemy can strike wherever it wishes and desires in any Muslim country (whether in the Arab world or beyond) and practise any kind of aggression and criminality to target whomever and whatever it pleases without any retaliation from the targeted country, entity, or people. This is what the Israeli enemy seeks to achieve, which has even been evident in the conditions it presented for reaching a ceasefire and for ending its aggression against Lebanon—it has indeed required these kinds of conditions to be fulfilled. The Israeli enemy also wants to impose this equation on all the countries in the region: It wants for the countries and peoples of our entire Ummah to be open for it to target whatever it wishes, whether human lives or facilities, be it military or civilian. It does not want any country in our Ummah to have any independence, freedom, or sovereignty. Additionally, it wants these peoples, their facilities, and even their sovereignty to be open for it and for imposing its influence and control on this region, which the West calls the Middle East.
The Israeli aggression targeted military facilities and violated Iranian sovereignty, resulting in four martyrs. Indeed, Muslim blood is not cheap, and the equation that the Israeli enemy seeks to impose is unjust, oppressive, and illegitimate. At the same time, it poses a threat to our entire Islamic Ummah, in all Muslim countries. Indeed, this endangers all the peoples of this region and of the entire Islamic Ummah when their sovereignty, blood, and rights are violated. Accepting such an unjust and oppressive equation is an affront to dignity, a devaluation of the Ummah, and humiliation beyond measure.
That is why the Americans have asked the Islamic Republic not to retaliate against the violation, the breach of sovereignty, and the shedding of Iranian blood—indeed, they asked so. The West also followed the same approach: Everyone is asking Iran not to retaliate, to allow the Israeli enemy to strike it without any response. This is what they want from all countries in this region—as we have said—and this is what the Israeli enemy did in the past against many countries of our Ummah, particularly the Arab countries. Previously, it committed aggression in Iraq without response, it also carried out aggression against Tunisia, aggression in Sudan, and weakly repeated and ongoing aggression against Syria. Similarly, it commits violations against many countries of our Ummah, and it wants to expand this circle to make the entire region open for it. This equation should never be accepted by any Muslim, Arab, or free country in the world.
The Americans, as well as the European countries, have clearly and explicitly asked the Islamic Republic of Iran not to retaliate, and they also warned against any misunderstanding, which is utterly outrageous! Indeed, this is an incredible audacity that the Americans and most European countries dare to show as they use this kind of language only with our Ummah. They want this kind of language to be the language they can use with Muslims: ‘O Muslims, do not retaliate against those who assault you, kill you, violate your sovereignty, humiliate you, and destroy your facilities when it is Israel, America, or one of the Zionist proxies; instead, bow down, give in, surrender, keep silent, and remain in a state of complete submission, humiliation, and loss of self-esteem!’ Could any free person in this world accept such an equation adopted by the Americans? It is a vision the Americans adopt towards all Arabs, without any exception in any Arab country: All can be violated. Therefore, it was good that many countries issued statements that contained explicit and clear condemnation of that aggression. In fact, this could establish an equation that they want to impose on all countries without exception. Some Arab countries did not have the courage even to issue a clear condemnation; after all, they have not even issued a clear condemnation of the Israeli enemy’s actions in Palestine and their crimes against the Palestinian people.
As we have repeated in every speech, the Americans—who ask the Islamic Republic of Iran not to retaliate, not to misunderstand, and to accept the Israeli attacks without retaliation and who want the same from our entire Ummah as well—is a key partner in the aggression against the Gaza Strip, the targeting of the Palestinian people, and the attempt to undermine Palestinian rights in favour of the Israeli enemy. That is because, as we mentioned in the speech last week, the Americans are partners with the Israeli enemy in their belief in Zionism and belonging to Zionism. This is something that American leaders, figures, presidents, and officials openly declare. Thus, the Americans move hand in hand with the Israeli enemy. In fact, they are two sides of the same coin, united by the same belief, objectives, project, and programme. They both strive to ensure that everything they achieve serves that aggressive project targeting our Ummah, primarily targeting Arabs before anyone else: Under the Zionist project, Arabs’ land is violated; they themselves are violated; their blood is shed; and according to this Zionist project, they have no right even to life. They and everything they have are violated.
America is a key partner. In fact, as the Secretary General of Hezbollah, his eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem (May Allah protect him), said yesterday, the war is not only an Israeli war, but also it is an American and Western war. Indeed, it is an aggression from all sides: an aggression against our entire Ummah by the Americans, the contributing Western countries, and the Israelis. This is an undeniable truth.
When we look at the American effort in supporting the Israeli enemy, we notice that it is unparalleled even by what Israel itself possesses or provides. It is the Americans who supply the Israeli enemy with the military arsenal that it possesses and relies on to carry out its crimes and aggression against the Palestinian people, against Lebanon and its people, and against any Arab or Muslim country:
– Fighter jets, including the F15, F16, and F35, are all American-made jets and provided by America—the Israeli enemy relies primarily on these fighter jets.
– The bombs and missiles used in its assaults and crimes all come from American stockpiles, as the Americans provided and keep providing it with such weapons, despite their full knowledge that Israel will use them to target children and women and to destroy homes and neighbourhoods. It is even that America manufactures large, extremely destructive bombs, designed specifically for the purpose of destroying cities and killing civilians. It is clearly evident that those bombs are meant to destroy cities and kill civilians.
– In terms of funding for aggression, the Israeli enemy says in its reports that American financial and logistical support constitutes 75% of financial and comprehensive logistical support upon which it has relied in its aggression against the Gaza Strip during all this period, over a year, as we are now at the end of the first month of the second year—75%!
– This is in addition to what is provided by Britain, Germany, and perhaps some Arab countries and other Western countries. Thus, the Israeli contribution remains limited; although it is costly for Israel, incurring significant expenses, this cost remains limited in comparison to the magnitude of the aggression and its immense demands, given the extent of its brutality and savagery—this level of continuous bombardment by the Israeli enemy with bombs and missiles and the very high operational costs and requirements of these aggressive, brutal, criminal operations. Israel is able to carry out such an intense level of bombardment and very heavy targeting because of the extensive support it receives, most of which is from America. So America is indeed a primary partner.
– This is in addition to the role of the American experts who play a key role in planning, supervising many operations, and overseeing numerous crimes.
– The Americans also provide all forms of intelligence support, including by relying on reconnaissance aircraft, which hardly cease their activities against the Palestinian people, Lebanon, and other countries, such as Yemen and Iraq. There are also what America refers to as ‘infiltration teams’, which engage in other activities as a cover to spy and gather information on the ground for the purpose of using them in targeting the Palestinian people. The same is also true in Lebanon.
– This also includes the attempts America carries out in Lebanon to incite discord and provoke animosity against the resistance and Hezbollah in Lebanon and to stir up strife among the Lebanese people.
– Through its bases spread across the region and its presence in the sea, America leverages its military presence throughout the region to serve the Israeli enemy, to exert pressure in its favour, to intercept many of the drones and strikes coming from the fronts of support that stand with the Palestinian people, intercepting as many attacks as it can. This is just to name a few. Indeed, America and Israel are two sides of the same coin.
Considering the continued immense, criminal, and brutal aggression, which even employs blockade and starvation, the Palestinian steadfastness after all this time is truly great and far beyond the expectations of the Israeli enemy and even the Americans. Neither of them imagined that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, despite the long-standing blockade and the brutal, all-encompassing destructive aggression—they did not expect that our fellow mujahidin from the Al-Qassam Brigades, along with other Palestinian factions, would withstand and continue fighting for the sake of Allah with utmost bravery, steadfastness, cohesion, effectiveness, and impact, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy to this extent and for such a prolonged period and showing this level of steadfastness, resilience, and cohesion.
The heroic, powerful operations of the Al-Qassam Brigades have evolved considerably, as seen in the tactics used by the mujahidin and their ability to inflict losses on the Israeli enemy and even to select targets. This is also seen in the way they conduct their precise reconnaissance operations and carefully select a target and in how they then strike enemy targets so effectively that in recent operations, almost every operation has had a direct impact on the Israeli enemy, inflicting harm on it and causing losses in terms of killed and injured personnel among its officers and soldiers. This includes the killing of commanding officers in the Israeli army, such as the commander of what it calls Brigade 401, a high-ranking official in the military of the Israeli enemy, who was killed during the aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Indeed, the operations carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades truly demonstrate an outstanding level of performance throughout all stages: from reconnaissance to expertly detonating skillfully using explosive devices to affect the enemy and consistently destroy its vehicles. The same is true for the other operations the Al-Qassam Brigades conduct, including mortar shelling.
Additionally, the Al-Quds Brigades have announced the execution of thirteen operations, including missile bombardment. Other jihadist Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip also continue their operations alongside the Al-Qassam Brigades, in an atmosphere of cooperation, coordination, and brotherhood among our fellow mujahidin in the Gaza Strip. Their diverse operations demonstrate resilience and bear witness to their steadfastness and cohesion.
One of the significant operations outside the Gaza Strip this week was a heroic ramming operation against dozens of Zionist soldiers and officers from Unit 8200, Israel’s espionage stronghold, at the Glilot military base. This operation was carried out by a brave mujahid from the Palestinian people, and it breached the enemy’s security system, terrifying the Zionist occupiers. It served as an additional shock that heightened the levels of anxiety and fear and truly represented a major breach of the enemy’s security apparatus, as the operation targeted officers and soldiers of this unit, which is a hub for espionage. This unit was unable to protect itself nor to find out about that operation or prevent its execution.
Similarly, there have been numerous operations in the West Bank carried out by our brother mujahidin there, amounting to nearly fifteen operations, which are impactful on the Israeli enemy. In general, the strong cohesion and great firmness of our brother mujahidin in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank are evident, and this demonstrates the substantial failure of the Israeli enemy.
The Israeli enemy relies very heavily on genocide, killing children, and killing women, and this certainly is not considered a military achievement; it is extremely horrific criminality, one of the most atrocious forms of crime. Indeed, it cannot be considered a military achievement. In fact, our fellow mujahidin continue their operations with cohesion, steadfastness, and effectiveness.
Additionally, the Israeli enemy has failed to achieve its declared main objective of retrieving its captives without a prisoner exchange deal. Thus, it has fallen short of the objectives it announced at the beginning of its aggression on the Gaza Strip. Therefore, the Israeli enemy is a complete failure.
The true and real success belongs to the Palestinian mujahidin in the Al-Qassam Brigades, along with other jihadist factions. Indeed, they are the ones who deserve credit for having such military achievements and success and attaining this divine support and this great honour in carrying out this sacred responsibility represented in jihad for the sake of Allah and standing up to the enemies of Allah and humanity, who commit the most heinous crimes, target the oppressed and wronged servants of Allah, and kill children and women.
The Israeli enemy is still muddled by the great heroic scene of the martyr leader Yahya Sinwar (May Allah have mercy on him). It finds itself in a true predicament because of this heroic scene that was leaked against its will. It now tries from time to time to fabricate scenes, offer different narratives, or deny the widely circulated scene. Thus, it is in a state of confusion in every sense of the word, which also testifies to its failure.
Regarding the significant resilience of the resistance in Lebanon that has been ongoing for one month now in the face of ground aggression and the ground operation through which the Israeli enemy expected to be able to easily invade southern Lebanon after committing crimes to prepare for this invasion, here we see the Israeli enemy standing shocked by the steadfastness of the Hezbollah mujahidin and the Lebanese resistance and suffering significant losses and repeated defeats. The reality shows that the Israeli enemy is indeed suffering defeat in that aggressive operation. It has suffered significant losses among its aggressive forces, with a thousand of them killed or wounded, although it extensively seeks to conceal its losses. Indeed, what is revealed or announced is very little compared to what the Israeli enemy chooses to conceal.
In its ground aggression on Lebanon, the Israeli enemy clearly failed to achieve any significant ground penetration despite immense covering fire. Before starting any ground advances, it carries out numerous airstrikes using deadly American bombs. It carries out espionage activities that hardly ever cease in Lebanon’s airspace and then launches all forms of bombardment; however, when it starts to advance slightly, the mujahidin of Hezbollah and the Lebanese resistance soon engage at point-blank range, inflicting direct losses by killing and wounding its officers and soldiers and destroying its vehicles, which leaves it no choice but to retreat. Thus, this has been the case for an entire month.
It is evident that the Israeli enemy faces a real predicament in its ground aggression against Lebanon, as it has tried to change its tactics from those used in the July 2006 War. Currently, it is trying to send fewer vehicles and sometimes advance infantry ahead of them in an effort to infiltrate, as it relies heavily on infiltration. However, this tactic has failed; if it sends its infantry, it exposes its soldiers and officers to direct targeting and killing, and if it advances vehicles ahead as it did in the 2006 July War, it fears a repeat of that scenario and the fulfilment of the promise made by the martyr of Islam and humanity, His Eminence Al-Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah (May Allah be pleased with him), that the world would witness live broadcasts of enemy vehicles burning. Therefore, it fears facing such a scenario. Even when sending only a few vehicles, they are targeted, destroyed, and burned, with some even being broadcast live while burning. Indeed, the Israeli enemy is in a dilemma over which tactic to adopt, as each tactic it adopts, whether this one or the other, incurs heavy losses and results in failure. It faces failure and disappointment as a result of the success granted by Allah to the heroic mujahidin of Hezbollah and the Lebanese resistance in their great resilience and steadfastness, along with all they possess in terms of faith, trust in Allah, reliance on Him, and great awareness. Moreover, the martyrdom of their leaders, particularly the martyr of Islam and humanity, Al-Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah (May Allah be pleased with him), has only strengthened their might, dedication, valour, and drive to inflict damage upon the enemy and retaliate against it.
It truly represents a real opportunity in every sense of the word. The Israeli enemy has long relied on air power and American bombs to target the members of our Ummah, killing from a distance and then running away. However, in ground operations, where it is forced to engage directly, its true nature is revealed. Despite all its capabilities, it has proved to be a failure. It appears to be defeated, fearful, and terrified: Its officers and soldiers flee, despite being protected by the equipment and capabilities they possess—by various types of aircraft from the air and military vehicles on the ground. Nevertheless, they display this degree of failure, inability, and panic, and even killing a single soldier affects and frightens them greatly. Here, this attests to the Quranic truth revealed by Allah about them and their fear of death and what lies beyond death, including the terrifying future and divine punishment:{‘One of them wishes that he could be granted life a thousand years, but it would not remove him in the least from the [coming] punishment that he should be granted life’}[Al-Baqarah 2:96], {‘And you will surely find them the most greedy of people for life’}[Al-Baqarah 2:96]. Indeed, they are unmatched in cowardice, fear, and terror. They are also fully aware of the injustice, crimes, and falsehood they practice, as well as their fate in the Hereafter. This is why they avoid direct confrontation and are astonished by the steadfastness and resilience of the mujahidin, their heroic performance, well-planned operations, and ambushes that inflict losses on the enemy. Regarding the destruction of the vehicles, a total of forty-eight vehicles have been destroyed despite the fact that the enemy, as we mentioned, tried to change its tactics from the past and introduced a limited number of vehicles with the penetrating forces.
The Israeli enemy continues to be targeted by Missiles fired from southern Lebanon and various parts of Lebanon. Some missile attacks target the Israeli enemy forces in the battlefield to support and reinforce the fellow mujahidin engaged with the enemy in the field, while others have targeted the Israeli enemy in all settlements across northern Palestine. Additionally, some of the attacks are directed at the occupied city of Haifa, where the continuous shelling and targeting have left the enemy there in a state of humiliation and paralysis, unable to carry out routine daily activities. Many of the Zionist occupiers across most of northern occupied Palestine, including Haifa itself, are spending much of their time in shelters, gripped by fear and panic. Furthermore, the sirens barely cease, often effectively instilling fear among them, filling their hearts with fear, and keeping them in constant anticipation of more missile and drone attacks.
The Israeli enemy, with all its air defence systems, has failed to prevent the attacking drones launched by our fellow mujahidin in Hezbollah from reaching their targets. They have failed to intercept or stop them. In fact, these drones have become a constant source of worry and distress for them, and they found themselves in significant embarrassment to the degree that they, albeit shamefully, admitted their failure. Some drones remain airborne over occupied Palestine for more than an hour, while Israeli forces attempt unsuccessfully to down or target them. This showcases Hezbollah’s high effectiveness, at a time when the Israeli enemy expected Hezbollah to be in a state of great weakness or on the brink of collapse. Instead, Hezbollah stands firm in this battle, showing remarkable strength, resilience, and determination. Here we see Hezbollah remain present in the battlefield and active in its honourable position with all strength, effectiveness, and bravery. It indeed remains present in the battlefield through its missile and drone strikes, conducting intense and effective operations and impacting the enemy significantly. One such operation targeted the criminal Netanyahu to his bedroom. These developments have led to a profound sense of disappointment for the Israeli enemy. This is not to mention the other operations that Hezbollah carries out to target the Israeli enemy with powerful, precise missiles capable of reaching Jaffa, which the enemy calls ‘Tel Aviv’.
In summary, millions of usurping Zionist settlers now spend most of their time in shelters, gripped by fear, panic, and terror, unable to enjoy life under their occupation, aggression, and criminality. The Israeli enemy, which once claimed it could safely return settlers to settlements in northern occupied Palestine, near the Lebanese border, can no longer guarantee the safety of settlers even in Haifa and beyond, nor in most of the northern settlements in occupied Palestine.
In addressing recent attacks and strengthening its position, Hezbollah has announced Sheikh Naim Qassem as Secretary-General of the party, following its established mechanisms and in line with the decision of the Hezbollah Shura Council. What a perfect fit for this position! Sheikh Naim Qassem is well known, as he is one of the party’s prominent leaders and founders, having served as Deputy Secretary-General since the party’s inception until his selection as Secretary-General.
In his speech yesterday, he affirmed commitment to the same programme of the martyr of Islam and humanity, his eminence Al-Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah (May Allah be pleased with him). We pray for Sheikh Naim Qassem’s success, and from the Yemeni front, we stand alongside him, our brothers in Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance, and the Lebanese people with all we can offer in the fight against the Israeli enemy and the Zionist project in the region.
On the Iraqi support front, the mujahidin of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq continue their strikes against the Israeli enemy with drones. This week alone, they have carried out twelve operations targeting Israeli military sites in Umm Al-Rashrash, the Jordan Valley, the occupied Golan, Acre, and northern Palestine. They have pledged to continue their operations against the Israeli enemy with increasing intensity. The rising effectiveness of our fellow mujahidin in Iraq is notable and honourable, and has proven troubling and impactful on the Israeli enemy.
As for the support from the front of Yemen (the land of faith, wisdom, and jihad) in the Battle of the Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad, military operations continue in the seas to hunt ships associated with the Israeli, American, and British enemies. There is now a scarcity of their movement in the Red Sea, with Israeli activity almost non-existent and rare American and British movement. This has indeed created a challenge in finding any of these ships to hunt. However, efforts are ongoing, with continuous tracking and pursuit into other waters, including the Arabian Sea.
One of the major developments this week regarding naval operations has been the targeting of four ships east of Socotra, at the far eastern side of the Arabian Sea. This comes as part of an effort to strengthen the targeting effort in the Indian Ocean and the eastern Arabian Sea, aiming to track the new routes used by ships linked to the Israeli enemy and its partners. They are trying to evade detection by moving towards the Indian Ocean due to how vast it is. It is extremely large truly vast—after all, it is an ocean. So they are attempting to evade detection through that area.
These four operations this week, which targeted ships in that area, are extremely significant. Allah willing, we are working to maintain the necessary momentum to pursue them there, to the far east of the Arabian Sea and into the Indian Ocean. The total number of targeted ships linked to the entity of the Israeli enemy and to America and Britain has reached two hundred and two. This is a major achievement in every sense of the word! The Americans are very upset about this because they have failed to fulfil their commitment to the Israeli enemy to secure its maritime navigation in the Red Sea. For the first time and in just one area, Israeli interests are being targeted in this way, preventing them from continuing their navigation through the Red Sea from the Bab Al-Mandab strait. This is the first time this has happened, and it has continued for such a long period of over a year.
This failure really upsets the Americans and also impacts their reputation, influence, arrogance, and control. They are accustomed to exercising their dominance and influence to maintain their control in ways that serve the Israeli enemy and the aggressive agenda and conspiracies targeting the peoples of our Ummah, especially the Palestinian people. The Americans are deeply upset by this situation and are trying to stop these operations through their ongoing aggression. They conduct a series of airstrikes targeting our country every week. They also continue to apply political and economic pressure, constantly trying to involve others, especially the Saudi-Emirati coalition, which previously operated under their supervision in the aggression against our country—an aggression that is still ongoing. They are attempting to involve them once again, pushing them into escalation that clearly serves the Israeli enemy. They know that this is shameful; the Saudis and others know that their participation at this stage in a direct battle to support the Israeli enemy will be disgraceful for them, a scandal, and a shame and that it will also cost them tremendous losses without achieving their objectives, even the ones desired by the Americans. However, the Americans want at least to embroil others with them in this predicament.
If the Americans, with their capabilities and aggression, can no longer relay on their support for the Israeli enemy and their participation with it to prevent the operations being carried out by Yemen in support of Palestine, then none of those other countries or forces can stop these operations that support the Palestinian people in Gaza. Until the blockade and the brutal, criminal aggression by the Israelis are lifted, these operations cannot be stopped by anyone. It is essential to stop the aggression against Gaza and the Lebanese people, as they form the same front even in two areas and pursue the same cause as two Muslim Arab nations. Therefore, the Israeli enemy must stop its aggression.
Military operations are ongoing, including missile strikes and drone attacks deep into occupied Palestine, targeting Israeli positions in occupied Jaffa and Asqalan. The operations of this week were carried out with thirteen ballistic and cruise missiles and drones.
Public activities continue, with a total of 783489 marches, demonstrations, rallies, and various events held over the past thirteen months—which is a very huge number in such a period. No other country has ever reached this number in support of any cause. In fact, it is by Allah’s grace that our dear people have achieved this. This also attests to the saying of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&F), ‘The belief is that of the Yemenites, and sagacity is that of the Yemenites.’ This genuine and heartfelt interaction of our people is clearly visible in their faces, words, and positions and through their marches and demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people—all of that expresses faith and a position of faith.
This presence, which continues with great momentum and without fatigue or boredom and sees millions of participants, does signify faith, loyalty, deep-rooted values, and the authenticity of this people in their Islamic identity.
As for military training courses, which are part of the mobilisation efforts and among the most important faith-based and jihad activities for our dear people, the number of graduates from these military training programs has exceeded half a million—specifically, 519,029 trainees. We are hopeful, Allah willing, that this number will reach one million and even more. It’s also worth noting that there is a military force that has already received training, along with others who have participated in these training courses as part of their activities. In addition, many of our people can be considered to be trained—they are fighters by nature.
The diverse mobilisation activities, including military manoeuvres, parades, and marches, have reached a total of 2913 activities. They encompassed military manoeuvres, marches, and parades. That is all about our country.
Regarding the demonstrations in various countries around the world, the weekly demonstrations continue in many places despite the repression, persecution, and harassment faced in some Western countries, such as America, Britain, and Germany. There are also other countries that oppress and harass those who take to the streets, and sometimes their so-called police forces (who are thugs) even attack them with police dogs. The demonstrations persist in Australia, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Britain, America, Ireland, South Korea, Japan, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, and Turkey, which is part of the Islamic world.
Unfortunately, in the Arab world, apart from Yemen, demonstrations have taken place in Morocco, Bahrain, Jordan, and Tunisia. In Bahrain, they are limited and greatly suffer harassment largely due to the criminal pro-Zionist policies of the Al Khalifa regime. In Jordan, there has been a large turnout. In Morocco, there has been a big turnout, and in Tunisia, hundreds have participated in demonstrations.
It is by Allah’s grace that our dear people have taken a distinguished and unified position, both officially and among the public, and are fully mobilised in all fields—militarily, politically, and through media efforts, as well as through engaging in jihad with both soul and wealth, spending in the way of Allah. This is a great blessing: {‘This is the favour of Allah. He grants it to whoever He wills. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing’}[Al-Ma’idah 5:54].
In the face of Zionist crimes and the aggressive Zionist project targeting our Islamic Ummah in both its faith and worldly affairs, it is a shame, a disgrace, a grave sin, and a serious shortcoming for an Arab or Islamic country or any segment of our Ummah not to take action regarding this issue. We have a religious, humanitarian, and moral responsibility towards this, towards the Palestinian people, towards the Lebanese people, and towards ourselves as a targeted Muslim Ummah and as Arabs, who are targeted more than anyone else by the Israeli enemy and the Zionist project.
This would be disgraceful and unworthy of anyone with human dignity, let alone those who belong to Islam, the true divine religion, with its great principles that essentially call for liberation from slavery to taghut—that is, we must not accept being enslaved to anyone but Allah, the One, the All-Powerful. If anyone accepts being a slave to the Israeli enemy, the worst of creation, the criminals, brothers of monkeys and pigs—if anyone accepts being a slave to them, sacrificing his freedom, dignity, and humanity for their sake and in submission to them, then he has lost everything. He has lost his humanity.
When one stands idly while witnessing the Palestinian people in their unparalleled tragedy—seeing children being killed, torn to pieces, and thousands crying and bleeding, many of them left orphaned without a provider, support, or family, watching the Palestinian people endure such horrific injustice—then what humanity can such a person claim to have? What faith can he claim to have? What Islam can he claim to have? What belief is left for those who are indifferent and unmoved, and who do not feel a sense of responsibility towards this?
The aggressive Zionist project pursued by Israel and America, along with the pro-Zionists in the West, targets our Ummah. As I said, the Americans and the Israelis are two sides of the same coin: {‘ They are Auliya of each other’}[Al-Ma’idah 5:51]. Those Arabs who join them are not considered equal in their eyes; they are merely exploited, enslaved, and used as tools. However, by aligning oneself with them, even if only through media—supporting the Zionists is equal to taking them as Auliya. Allah says, {‘Whoever takes them as Auliya becomes one of them. Surely Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people’}[Al-Ma’idah 5:51]. Indeed, such individuals become partners in their horrific and unprecedented crimes. How tragic for a person to meet Allah on the Day of Judgment as their partner in those dreadful Zionist atrocities.
We all have a great religious responsibility. Allah (Glory be to Him) says in the Holy Quran, {‘O believers, be mindful of Allah in the way He deserves’}[Ali’ Imran 3:102]. He demands the highest level of mindfulness—but in what context? It is in the context of confronting the forces of disbelief, evil, crime, injustice, and corruption on the earth from among the People of the Book. In this era, these forces are represented by the Zionists among the Jews and their allies among the Christians. They are the ones who embody the extension of that approach and that group mentioned in the Holy Quran. This is clear and beyond any doubt.
They are the ones trying to push our Ummah to lose its faith, dignity, pride, and worldly well-being, making it sacrifice everything for their sake. That’s why Allah says, {‘O believers, be mindful of Allah in the way He deserves’}—the highest levels of mindfulness—{‘And do not die except as Muslims’}[Ali’ Imran 3:102]. That is because failing in this responsibility and shying away from the necessary position—which is a commitment that goes in line with faith and humanitarian, moral, and religious considerations—is a serious breach of morals, religion, values, and Islamic principles. Therefore, this is in direct contradiction to the principles and values of Islam; it is not merely an abstract political viewpoint that has no ethical or moral roots. The failure to uphold this responsibility is considered as a disregard for Islamic principles and values, as well as innate human values. This matter is of utmost importance.
Therefore, the right position, choice, and path—which is beneficial in this world and the Hereafter and which represents a successful path with a clear vision, grounded in Allah’s promise of the eventual downfall of that criminal, savage, temporary Zionist entity–lies in confronting the Israeli enemy and resisting the Zionist project. It is the successful, triumphant path that enjoys Allah’s support and incurs the least cost. In fact, it is the least costly option, regardless of the sacrifices, suffering, or hardships involved; these costs are insignificant compared to the cost of the Ummah losing everything: its freedom, religion, dignity, and future in the Hereafter. Certainly, the future in the Hereafter should be taken into consideration and even prioritised above anything else, for it is eternal. As a Muslim Ummah, we believe in Allah, the Last Day, His angels, His books, and His messengers, and we also believe in reckoning and the ultimate return to Allah, the Almighty.
When we reflect on reality, we also find that this is the necessary position that must be taken; it is the essential and correct choice because we have two, and only two, choices: Either this Ummah chooses to be a submissive, humiliated, and violated one, paying a tremendous price under such circumstances, or it takes the right action and acts according to the teachings of Allah (the Almighty) to gain His support and maintain its freedom and dignity. Moreover, following the right path can serve as a foundation for its development because part of the cost borne by the Ummah is a result of its previous shortcomings and negligence in fulfilling its significant responsibilities.
The Ummah has long neglected the great responsibility that Allah has placed upon it as an ummah that belongs to His message and the true religion of Islam and is supposed to move according to the divine project, as it has inherited the legacy of all the prophets and messengers of Allah and the divine message and religion with its principles, great values, and just project, as well as its refined civilisation that is based on ethics and values. This has led to its current state of weakness, division, and fragmentation. As a result, we, as free individuals and mujahidin, will face challenges when we decide to take action, considering the situation the Ummah has reached. Yet, this builds us up, strengthens us, and grants us Allah’s care, assistance, and support. It also comes as part of our effort to develop our capabilities and build all the elements of strength we aspire to possess, as well as our effort to rise to the level of the challenges we face. This way, the challenges transform into opportunities, and the very risks turn into incentives and motivations for growth and revival. This is an incredibly important matter.
When we reflect on our reality, we find that our Ummah has been appealing to the United Nations for decades. What has the UN done for our Ummah? Even if it has issued resolutions, they are not implemented and hold no more value than the ink they were written with. What kind of benefit our Ummah has got from the Security Council? In practice, it is a council for the security of the arrogant, not for the security of the oppressed and the unjustly-treated ones, as they enjoy no respect, attention, care, or rescue; it does nothing for them at all. What has been achieved by the criminal courts of justice and other institutions that are supposed to uphold rights and justice and stand with the oppressed? They have done nothing for our Ummah. The Palestinian cause and the suffering of the Palestinian people have persisted for nearly one hundred five years, part of it under British occupation, while the greater part inherited by the Zionists.
What have they done for the Palestinian people and our Ummah? Have they ever done anything for Lebanon or Syria? The Americans shamelessly and blatantly gave away the Golan Heights, as if it were their inheritance, showing no regard for our countries. All these institutions and organisations—even those that claim to represent this Ummah but are not true to its principles, values, or peoples—are just for the look. Their negatives outweigh their positives, and they stand for falsehood more than right. What they have done against the peoples of this region and the forces of our Ummah far exceeds what they have done against the enemy. They have not actually done anything against the enemy in any meaningful way. And if they have taken action at certain times, they have compensated for it many times over to serve the Israeli enemy.
Only our Islamic Ummah, if it sincerely adheres to its faith, can establish justice in the world because it is one of its responsibilities, and it is the Ummah that is addressed by Allah’s saying: {‘O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice’}[An-Nisa 4:135]. Indeed, we, the Muslims, are the ones responsible on this earth for confronting the Zionist project, which poses a threat to all humanity. It has the impudence to intend to make our Arab lands and countries a base for its evil to extend to the rest of the world. We are the Ummah entrusted to establish justice. We bear this responsibility and possess the necessary qualifications and factors to fulfil it if we act according to Allah’s teachings as a Muslim Ummah. We have the Quran, Islam, principles, and values that empower us to be the ummah that calls for goodness, encourages what is good, forbids what is evil, and strives to establish justice. However, as a result of our inaction and negligence in fulfilling this responsibility, we have reached a point where our Ummah has become the victimised ummah, more so than any other—a victim of injustice, crime, and tyranny at the hands of the world’s worst people, the worst of all beings: the criminal Zionists, the Zionists of this era, who are unmatched by those before them in their criminality and their possession of unprecedented means of criminality. The neglect of responsibility by Muslims has created a void that remains unfilled by anyone—be it the United Nations, courts of justice, or anyone else here or there. Indeed, it is incumbent upon us to take action and stop the Zionists in their tracks. We must recognise our responsibility to confront the Zionists who came to violate our Ummah and have made our Ummah a victim of their aggression.
On our support front in Yemen, in the Battle of the Promised Conquest and Holy Jihad, we continuously monitor American activities against our country and our Ummah and keep preparing ourselves for any level of escalation the Americans, Israelis, and British may choose to pursue. As we are on the last day of October, our dear people have linked every honourable milestone in their history across all historical stages—their past revolutions and jihad, including the October Revolution against British occupation, which ultimately led to the defeat of the British Empire at that time—to their current noble jihad and grand position against the Israeli enemy, as well as against America and Britain. In fact, at this stage, our people are more present, more aware, more prepared, and more steadfast in carrying the banner of jihad for the sake of Allah (the Almighty) than ever before, even more so than when they confronted Britain in the past. They move forward in the way of Allah with honour, faith, and a sense of spiritual dignity in every sense of the word, as well as with their values and principles.
I call upon our dear people to participate tomorrow, Friday, in a million-strong demonstration in the capital Sana’a and in the other governorates and districts, according to the established arrangements, with the aim of seeking jihad in Allah’s cause, showing support for the oppressed servants of Allah, and standing in solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese people, and for the sake of our people’s sacred commitment of faith.
We ask Allah (Glory be to Him) to grant us all success in seeking what pleases Him, have mercy on our virtuous martyrs, heal the wounded among us, set free our captives, and grant us victory. O Allah, hasten victory and relief for the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and for the dear mujahidin in Palestine and Lebanon. Indeed, You are the All-Hearer of prayer.
Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
