Gaza Civil Defense: Thousands of Bodies Vaporized in Israeli Airstrikes Using Lethal Weapons

The Civil Defense in Gaza has documented 7,820 bodies that have completely or partially disappeared in areas targeted by Zionist airstrikes in the sector, accounting for 10% of the casualties from the aggression on Gaza in October 2023.

In a report released on Friday, the Civil Defense confirmed that a significant number of bodies vanished due to incineration caused by the massive explosives used by Zionist forces at targeted sites, leaving behind “horrific massacres against both the living and the dead.”

The report revealed that 10% of the Zionist strikes caused parts of victims’ bodies to evaporate, making it impossible for Civil Defense teams to recover many remains. In some cases, only minimal, unrecognizable fragments remained.

The Civil Defense explained that individuals in the immediate vicinity of the strikes were vaporized, while others succumbed to the force of the blasts or the collapse of buildings caused by the explosions.

Dr. Munir Al-Barsh, Director-General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, stated that since the first day of the aggression on Gaza in October 2023, the Israeli occupation has used lethal weapons that generate extremely high temperatures upon detonation, causing victims’ bodies to evaporate at targeted sites.

Al-Barsh pointed out that many of these lethal weapons are internationally prohibited due to their extraordinary destructive capabilities and heavy payloads. He emphasized that these weapons were used to target shelters and displacement camps—locations not fortified against conventional bombs, let alone such devastating munitions.

He highlighted that some bombs used in massacres, killing hundreds of victims, generated explosion temperatures exceeding 4,000 degrees Celsius. An example is the “Dawn Massacre” at the Tabaeen School shelter in August 2024, which resulted in hundreds being burned to death. Many bodies in that attack were vaporized, leaving no trace.

The Zionist extermination campaign in Gaza, carried out with American support, has resulted in over 155,000 Palestinian casualties, including martyrs and injured, most of whom are women and children.

More than 11,000 remain missing, amid widespread destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children and the elderly, marking one of the world’s worst humanitarian disasters.
