The Civil Defense Authority in the Gaza Strip announced today, Sunday, the martyrdom of about 70 children during the past five days in the Zionist bombing of areas in the Strip.

The Civil Defense said in a brief statement that “about 70 children were martyred during the past five days in the Zionist bombing of parts of the Strip.”

Children in the Gaza Strip continue to pay a heavy price for the genocide committed by the Zionist entity for the 16th consecutive month.

On January 8, UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell said that the new year brought the children of Gaza “more death and suffering as a result of attacks, deprivation and increased exposure to cold.”

In this regard, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today that the death toll from the genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinians in the Strip has risen to 46,565 martyrs and 109,660 wounded since October 7, 2023.

This came in the ministry’s daily statistical report on the victims of the ongoing Zionist aggression on the Strip for 464 days; It stated that “the Israeli occupation committed two massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, 28 martyrs and 89 wounded arrived at hospitals during the past 24 hours.”

It explained that “a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.”
