Remarkable Resilience Amid Aggression: Yemen’s Unyielding Support for Gaza
In a historic display of resolve, Yemenis have shown remarkable steadfastness, standing unwaveringly in the face of aggression. The clouds of dust from their persistence mingled with the smoke of airstrikes launched by the aggressors, a stark contrast to the fear and panic seen elsewhere. The difference is glaring: while some tremble at the sound of sirens and succumb to terror, others stumble into shelters in a chaotic rush, succumbing to their fears. Yet, Yemenis stand tall, proud, and unyielding, even as airstrikes land perilously close to their gatherings.
This unshakable spirit was evident during the “Steadfast with Gaza through Our Faith and Quranic Path” rally held at Sabeen Square. Millions flocked to the venue in a massive show of solidarity. Despite numerous airstrikes by American, Zionist, and British forces targeting the area surrounding the square, the determination of the Yemeni people was undeterred.
As expected, the bombardment failed to scatter the crowds. Instead, it fueled their enthusiasm. Even children in the square stood firm, their resolve unshaken. Their powerful chants echoed across Sabeen Square, reverberating their unwavering support for Gaza and sending a message that Yemen’s moral and ethical stance remains unyielding.
A Defiant Response to Aggression
The airstrikes near Sabeen Square only galvanized the Yemeni people further, drawing thousands more who had not yet joined the rally. This remarkable response sent a bold message of defiance to the forces of global tyranny, represented by the United States, the Israeli entity, and Britain.
Mohammed Al-Farrah, a member of Ansarullah’s Political Bureau, emphasized the futility of these attacks. Speaking to Ansarullah’s media, he stated:
“The Zionist and American targeting of Sabeen Square is part of their efforts to instill fear among protesters and deter them from their ethical and faith-driven support for Gaza.”
Al-Farrah described the aggressors’ actions as reckless and childish attempts to claim an illusory victory to mask their losses at the hands of Yemeni armed forces, whether in the Red Sea or the depths of occupied Palestine.
Highlighting the difference between Yemenis and the settlers in Zionist colonies, Al-Farrah said:
“The enemy deludes itself into thinking that Yemenis would cower like Zionist settlers, who flee to shelters at the first sound of sirens. However, Yemenis are a brave people, unafraid of death, standing firm to defend their honor and cause.”
He added that the enemy’s actions only fueled the people’s commitment, as evidenced by the unprecedented turnout in the squares. The steadfastness of the Yemeni people sent a powerful message to the world: their faith-driven and ethical support for Gaza is unshakable.
A Historic Moment of Heroism
Saleh Al-Sahami, Advisor to the Presidential Office, labeled the airstrikes near Sabeen Square as desperate acts of a defeated enemy:
“The American, British, and Israeli aggression targeting Sabeen Square exposes their bankruptcy and inability to adhere to the ethics of war.”
He praised the Yemeni people’s bravery, noting that their unwavering presence and slogans of defiance created a historic moment that will be remembered as a beacon of heroism. Al-Sahami underscored the Yemenis’ faith in their revolutionary leadership, which has united people under a common cause since the September 21 Revolution of 2014.
“The airstrikes only reinforced the people’s conviction in the righteousness of their stance. They see these attacks as proof of the soundness of the path they have chosen under the leadership of Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi,” Al-Sahami added.
A Unified Stand for Gaza
Cultural activist Ibrahim Al-Khalil described the weekly rallies as a powerful testament to the unity of the Yemeni people in support of Gaza.
“These mass gatherings send a clear message to the enemies about Yemen’s steadfastness and the people’s readiness to confront any escalation by the aggressors,” he said.
Al-Khalil noted that the airstrikes targeting Sabeen Square were a reaction to the massive rallies, reflecting the frustration of the Zionist regime and its allies. However, these attacks failed to deter the Yemenis, who only grew more resolute in their support for Gaza.
He emphasized the deep trust Yemenis place in their leadership, represented by Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, granting him full authority to take necessary measures to defend Gaza and uphold justice.
