Beirut’s Dahiyeh Filled with Martyr Sayyed Nasrallah Lovers, Funeral Preparations Complete
The technical and logistic preparations at Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium in Beirut have been almost completed for the funeral ceremony of the former Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.
Numerous screens have been placed inside the Sports City and on all the way of the mourners to be able to follow up the event, which is scheduled to start Sunday at 9 a.m.
Long hours earlier, the great martyr’s lovers started flocking into airport road and the vicinity of the Sports City whose capacity outnumbers 135 thousand attendees.
The Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces will take strict security measures before and during the funeral, deploying 4 thousand troops for this sake. Moreover, over 25 thousand discipline squad members will organize the crowd movement, and 4 thousand organizers will coordinate the event.
Four field hospitals were also set up to be close to the Sports City, the funeral road, the burial site, and the old airport road. In addition, more than 70 ambulances and medical teams were deployed along the ceremony route, and field medical points and tents belonging to the Islamic Health Authority were set up to provide assistance in case of any emergency.
Meanwhile, crowds of citizens have been flocking to the holy shrine of His Eminence Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, the Master of the Nation’s Martyrs, where his pure body will be buried in the soil of Dahiyeh which he did love.
Beirut’s and Dahiyeh’s highways have been congested by the comers from the South, Bekaa, North and Mount Lebanon to participate in the funeral. According to Al-Manar sources, 50 flights have arrived at Beirut airport since this morning.
Deputy Chief of Hezbollah Executive Council Sheikh Ali Daamoush stressed that Lebanon will never yield to the Israeli pressures and schemes, adding that sacrificing the martyred commanders is aimed at protecting the nation from the Zionist schemes.
Sheikh Daamoush called for the heaviest participation in the funeral, urging the participants to abide by the regulations of the organizers and security forces, and warning against firing live bullets.
