The Zionist enemy continues the demolition crimes in Jerusalem and demolishes a house in Beit Hanina

The authorities of the usurping Zionist enemy entity continue the demolition crimes in occupied Jerusalem, where they demolished a house in the town of Beit Hanina, north of the occupied city of Jerusalem, this morning, Tuesday.

Jerusalem sources reported that a large force of the Zionist enemy accompanied by bulldozers raided the town of Beit Hanina and began demolishing a 120-square-meter house belonging to Al-Shuruti family.

Violations continue in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem, as decisions to deport people from Al-Aqsa have escalated on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to the continuation of arrest campaigns and demolition operations in the city and its suburbs.

The Zionist enemy authorities carried out 79 demolition operations during last February, which affected 156 facilities, including 109 inhabited homes, 5 uninhabited ones, and 34 agricultural facilities and others.

The demolitions were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron with the demolition of 55 facilities, then Jenin with 26, Jerusalem with 19, and Salfit with 15.

Demolition and displacement in Jerusalem

The Zionist enemy municipality continued to carry out demolition operations or force Jerusalemites to demolish their homes themselves, under the pretext of building without a permit, and Jerusalem institutions monitored 15 demolition operations in the city of Jerusalem, including 4 facilities demolished by their owners “self-demolition” by a decision from the municipality.

The demolitions during the month of February targeted homes, and the Zionist enemy forces closed 4 commercial facilities in Jerusalem, under the pretext of “employing young men with West Bank IDs without permits,” as the enemy forces have closed about 20 commercial stores since the beginning of this year 2025 for the same pretext.
