Khalil Al-Daqran, the spokesman for the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, said that hospital operating rooms are unable to handle the massive influx of wounded, describing the health situation in the Strip as “catastrophic.”

Al-Daqran stated that only 19% of medical supplies actually entered the Gaza Strip before the resumption of the war of extermination on Gaza at dawn today, and most of which were non-essential supplies.

The health spokesman confirmed to Sanad News Agency that 85% of health services are out of service, and that hospitals are unable to accommodate the large number of wounded, especially those with critical injuries and amputated limbs.

Al-Daqran explained that operating rooms are unable to handle the massive influx of wounded, especially in light of the ongoing aggression and targeting of medical facilities.

He emphasized that hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip have not yet recovered from the recent attacks.

He explained that Kamal Adwan Hospital in the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, remains out of service, while the Indonesian Hospital is only partially operating, exacerbating the health crisis in the Strip.

Al-Daqran stressed that the Israeli enemy has not adhered to the protocols and agreements related to the entry of aid and medical supplies into the Strip.

He added that until the end of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement on March 2, “the occupation authorities did not allow the entry of vital medical equipment, such as x-ray machines, generators, operating rooms, intensive care units, and incubators, which further complicated the deteriorating health situation.”

He explained that 25% of the Ministry of Health’s hospital facilities are partially operating, calling on international institutions and relevant parties to pressure for the entry of urgent medical aid, warning that the continuation of the current situation will lead to an unprecedented humanitarian disaster in the health sector.

Earlier, the Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Mr. Munir al-Barash stated that 20 of the 38 public and private hospitals in the Gaza Strip remain out of service, despite the rehabilitation of five hospitals during the ceasefire.

Today’s aggression adds to a long list of Israeli attacks and violations of the ceasefire in Gaza since the agreement was announced, exacerbating the humanitarian tragedy and deepening the crisis facing Palestinians in Gaza under the suffocating blockade and ongoing aggression.
