Today, Sunday, the occupying Zionist entity authorities seized 57.79 dunams of Palestinian land in Bethlehem Governorate, specifically in the areas of Al-Khader, Artas, Bethlehem, and Beit Ummar in Hebron governorate.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated that the enemy authorities, through a so-called “military order for seizure for military purposes, numbered (T/3/25),” seized 57.79 dunams with the aim of creating a buffer zone around Efrata settlement, which is built on citizens’ land in the governorate.

The commission indicated that the enemy, through a series of military orders, established a total of 14 buffer zones around a group of settlements.

Through this measure, the aim is to prevent citizens from accessing vast areas under the pretext of the military order, paving the way for permanent control over them in the future.

She noted that the so-called Enemy Lands Authority issued two large construction tenders last February, aiming to build 974 new settlement units, to establish a new settlement neighborhood affiliated with the Efrat settlement, a development the authority had previously addressed.

Maps from the military order issued today indicate that the buffer zone the enemy seeks to create around the settlement also surrounds the planned neighborhood, in addition to two settlement outposts that have been transformed into neighborhoods to the north of the settlement: Givat Hadagan and Givat Hatamar.

Separately, enemy forces stormed the town of Anata, northeast of Jerusalem, on Sunday afternoon and began distributing dozens of demolition notices threatening to demolish residential, agricultural, and commercial facilities in several neighborhoods of the town.

The Deputy Mayor of Anata for Jerusalem District, Muhammad al-Kiswani, explained in a press release that the process of distributing notices is still ongoing, and it is not yet possible to accurately estimate their number, especially in light of the enemy forces’ imposition of a strict siege, akin to a curfew, as they have set up checkpoints and prevented citizens from moving between the neighborhoods they have invaded.

He pointed out that the number of notices is extremely large, foreshadowing a widespread demolition massacre affecting homes and businesses.
