The Zionist enemy continues its aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the 87th consecutive day amid escalating violations, arrests, and a total siege.
The enemy forces have sent military reinforcements to Jenin and its camp, including military bulldozers, which carried out acts of vandalism, bulldozing, and demolition targeting numerous homes, streets, and facilities. In Harsh al-Sa’ada neighborhood, they demolished the home of the martyrs Hammam and Harith Hashash.
The enemy forces continue to launch arrest campaigns against citizens in Jenin. They arrested a young man and abused him during a raid on the town of Qabatiya in the south. They also arrested the brothers Muhammad and Alaa Abu Farashah after raiding the Engineers’ Housing in the town.
The enemy forces continue their policy of systematically destroying homes and bulldozing streets, and have informed a number of families of the need to evacuate their homes, paving the way for their search and conversion into military checkpoints.
Approximately 600 homes were destroyed in Jenin camp, while nearly 3,000 housing units were rendered uninhabitable.
This situation has led to a deterioration in economic conditions, with thousands of displaced persons losing their livelihoods. This has contributed to a significant increase in poverty rates in the Jenin community and exacerbated the worsening humanitarian crisis in the region.
The number of displaced persons from the camp has reached approximately 21,000, distributed throughout Jenin hovernorate, including 6,000 in the city itself, 4,181 in the town of Burqin, and 32,000 in the Arab American University housing complexes.
The aggression on the city and camp of Jenin has resulted in the deaths of 40 people, while enemy bulldozers continue their widespread destruction of Jenin’s main streets and infrastructure, in addition to the systematic sabotage carried out by enemy tanks, which have stormed the city for the first time since 2002.
