The international human rights organization Human Rights Watch condemned the Israeli attack on Sana'a International Airport and the bombing of the only remaining Yemenia Airlines plane in Sana'a.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the organization noted that Sana'a International Airport is a vital lifeline for Yemeni civilians, many of whom rely on it as their sole means of accessing necessary medical care.

It added: "The Israeli military has cut off this vital artery, leaving many Yemenis without their primary source of access to the outside world."

Previously, Human Rights Watch stated that the Israeli attack targeting the port of Hodeidah amounts to a war crime, as it threatens food, aid, and electricity supplies for millions of Yemenis.

It reported that on July 20, the Israeli Air Force attacked the port of Hodeidah, indicating that this attack also constitutes a "war crime." 

Human Rights Watch stated that the Israeli strikes on the port of Hodeidah constituted a presumed indiscriminate or disproportionate attack in violation of the law, and could have a long-term impact on millions of Yemenis who depend on the port for food and humanitarian aid. 

It emphasized that the Israeli occupation's bombing of the port constitutes a war crime.
