In the first official Iranian response to the US aggression that targeted Iranian nuclear facilities early Sunday morning, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, "The United States, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty by attacking Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities."

In a post on his X account, Araghchi described this morning's events as "heinous and will have dire consequences."

He added, "All members of the United Nations should be concerned about this criminal, lawless, and extremely dangerous behavior."

Araghchi emphasized that Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people, in accordance with the UN Charter and its provisions, which allow for a legitimate response in self-defense.

The criminal US President Donald Trump announced this morning that he had bombed three nuclear sites in Iran, indicating that a full load of bombs had been dropped on the main site, Fordow.

However, Iranian officials confirmed that there was no radioactive contamination from the facilities subjected to the US attack, emphasizing that there was no danger to the population living in the vicinity of the targeted facilities.
