The Director of Medical Relief in Gaza confirmed on Friday, June 27, that approximately 17,000 children in the Gaza Strip suffer from malnutrition, and the situation is worsening.
The Director of Medical Relief said, "We expect a large number of children to die from malnutrition unless serious intervention is made."
He added, "Pressure must be applied on the occupation to allow the entry of baby formula and medicine."
He explained that many surgeries are postponed due to a shortage of medical personnel, supplies, and medicines.
Sources in Gaza hospitals said, "26 martyrs have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on various areas of the Strip since dawn today."
Two infants died in the Gaza Strip yesterday evening, Thursday, due to malnutrition and the depletion of baby formula amid the ongoing tight blockade and genocide being carried out by the Israeli enemy in the Strip.
According to local sources, the families of the two infants buried their bodies at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, after they died as a result of being deprived of the most basic rights of health care and nutrition.
Medical sources warned of an imminent health disaster threatening the lives of infants due to the shortage of baby formula amid the ongoing blockade and war.
