The Armed Forces announced the targeting of the ETERNITY C vessel, which was headed to the Port of Umm al-Rashrash in occupied Palestine, resulting in the ship’s complete sinking.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Armed Forces clarified that the Naval Forces targeted the ship using a drone boat and six cruise and ballistic missiles, which led to the total sinking of the vessel. The operation was documented in both audio and video.
The statement added that following the operation, a unit of special forces from the Navy moved in to rescue several members of the ship’s crew, providing them with medical care and transporting them to a safe location.
It confirmed that the targeting of the aforementioned ship came after the company owning it, along with the vessel itself, resumed operations with the Port of Umm al-Rashrash — in clear violation of the ban on dealings with that port. It also followed the ship’s refusal to heed warnings and calls from the Yemeni Naval Forces.
The Armed Forces reiterated their ongoing efforts to block Israeli maritime activity in both the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea. They renewed their warning to all companies dealing with ports in occupied Palestine that their ships and crews will be subject to targeting anywhere within reach of the Armed Forces, regardless of the ships’ destination.
They emphasized that, in the interest of protecting the safety of ships and their crews, they again warn companies and states of the consequences of dealing with the Zionist entity and sending vessels to ports in occupied Palestine.
They stated that this position aims to force the Zionist enemy and its backers to lift the blockade on people in Gaza, stop the aggression against them, and end the ongoing genocide being committed in full view of the world.
The Armed Forces reaffirmed their continued military operations in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their steadfast resistance, which defends the entire nation, until the aggression on Gaza is halted and the siege is lifted.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have escalated their maritime campaign targeting vessels linked to Israeli ports, framing it as a direct response to Israel’s ongoing war and blockade against Gaza.
Central to this strategy is the imposition of a naval blockade on all ships destined for ports in the occupied Palestinian territories—particularly the Port of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat). The Yemeni military has warned repeatedly that any vessel attempting to dock in these ports risks being targeted. Despite these warnings, several ships have continued operations, prompting military responses from Yemen’s Naval Forces.
Two major incidents exemplify this campaign: the recent targeting of the ETERNITY C and the earlier, widely publicized sinking of the Magic Seas vessel. The Magic Seas, operated by a company that had repeatedly defied the Yemeni ban, was sunk entirely after ignoring direct radio warnings from the Yemeni Navy. High-resolution footage broadcast by the Military Media Unit captured key moments of the operation—from initial warnings to the final explosion and submersion of the ship.
The video showed the Yemeni Naval Forces engaging with the ship via radio, instructing it to halt. Repeated warnings were issued, urging the crew not to proceed toward occupied Palestinian ports. These were ignored, resulting in a decisive attack: an unmanned boat set the ship ablaze, followed by a second strike. In a dramatic escalation, Yemeni Naval Special Forces boarded the vessel, reached the control room, and detonated the ship, chanting revolutionary slogans in support of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The footage ends with the ship sinking into the depths, serving as a stark warning to other companies about the risks of defying Yemen's blockade.Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirmed that the ship's destruction was a direct response to repeated violations by the parent company, which had sent three other vessels to Israeli ports that week alone.
