The Israeli army announced this morning, Friday, the death of a captain in the Golani Brigade during battles in the southern Gaza Strip.
Hebrew sources said the captain was killed in an explosion hours after he was working to detonate explosives in buildings in Khan Yunis.
They announced another difficult security incident for the army forces in the Strip, noting that a military evacuation helicopter coming from Gaza landed at Beilinson Hospital in Tel Aviv.
On Thursday evening, two soldiers were killed and six others were injured, some seriously, as a result of the explosion of a booby-trapped building in Khan Yunis.
Sources reported that 890 Israeli soldiers and officers have been killed since October 7, 2023.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have been waging a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt the offensive.
The genocide has left 189,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and a famine has claimed the lives of the majority of the Strip's population.
