An expanded gathering of scholars and preachers from Hajjah Governorate took place on Wednesday under the slogan:
“Muslim Unity to Support Gaza and Confront the Enemies of the Ummah—America and Israel—is a Religious Duty.”
The meeting was attended by Hajjah Governor Hilal Al-Sufi, Mobilization Official Hamoud Al-Maghribi, and the heads of the Appeals Court and Public Prosecution.
Sheikh Saleh Al-Khawlani, a member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, emphasized the scholars’ responsibility to unify ranks, strengthen resilience, and confront tyrants and child killers. He stressed the urgent need to support the children and women of Gaza and return to God’s commands regarding jihad.
He called for activating the economic boycott of American and Israeli products, highlighting Yemen’s noble stance despite limited resources.
Sheikh Khaled Musa condemned the deliberate bombing and starvation of Gaza, warning against standing with oppressors against the Book of God.
In a closing statement read by Endowments Director Mohammed Aishan, the gathering stressed that Muslim unity in support of Gaza, Palestine, and Al-Aqsa Mosque is a personal religious obligation (fard ‘ayn). They condemned the massacres committed by the Zionist enemy, including the use of aid distribution centers as traps to kill Palestinians.
The scholars held Arab states and their peoples primarily responsible before God for the siege and starvation of Gaza and denounced Arab and Islamic betrayal that fuels American-Israeli aggression.
They called on Islamic scholars worldwide to clarify the religious duty to condemn the Zionist-American aggression across Gaza, Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and all Islamic countries, and to fully support the Axis of Resistance without sectarian bias.
The statement warned against corrupt scholars and divisive preachers who incite sectarian strife and aid the enemy by dividing Muslims.
It emphasized that the ongoing battles represent a unified struggle of truth against falsehood, Islam against disbelief, with no neutrality permitted.
The scholars praised the principled stance of the Yemeni people and leadership, led by Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, and blessed the launch of the fourth phase of the naval blockade against the enemy.
They called for readiness and urged all residents to join the “Al-Aqsa Flood” training programs as a minimum religious duty.
The statement concluded by emphasizing loyalty to the believers, disavowal of America and Israel, and the importance of boycotting their products, media, and allies.
