Over 1,000 European Union staff warned in a letter on Saturday that famine in Gaza is accelerating and cannot be halted by temporary aid or airdrops, stressing that "time is running out and the danger is escalating rapidly."
They emphasized that the ongoing blockade on Gaza constitutes a blatant violation of international law, stating that the EU faces a critical test requiring urgent action to protect civilians and preserve its credibility.
The employees further asserted that the EU’s silence on Gaza amounts to complicity and undermines European values.
They also acknowledged that the failure of the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" has led to the deaths of over 1,000 people, shot by Israeli forces since May.
Measures Demanded Against the Zionist Entity
In their letter, EU staff issued a series of demands in response to the situation in Gaza, calling on the European Union to impose financial and trade sanctions on Zionist officials.
They urged the suspension of diplomatic ties with the Zionist entity and the immediate withdrawal of the EU ambassador from occupied Jaffa (“Tel Aviv”).
The signatories also demanded an end to cooperation with Israeli institutions in EU programs—particularly scientific research.
Meanwhile, the Zionist regime continues its genocidal war and starvation campaign against the population of Gaza. So far, 169 Palestinians have died from hunger, including 93 children, while the overall death toll from the assault has reached 60,430 martyrs, with 148,722 injured since October 7, 2023.
