Massive rallies were held across hundreds of squares in Yemen’s provinces on Sunday to mark the 58th anniversary of the glorious Independence Day, November 30th, under the slogan: “Liberation Is Our Choice… and the Occupier Will Fall.”
The marches took place in the governorates of Hodeidah, Sana’a, Taiz, Raymah, Ibb, Hajjah, Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Marib, and Dhamar, with a massive public turnout in all the designated squares across these governorates.
Participants gathered carrying banners reflecting the occasion and denouncing tyranny and colonial forces, highlighting the Yemeni people's long history of resistance against occupiers—past and present.
Crowds chanted slogans of revolution, independence, and resistance, reaffirming their full readiness to follow the leadership’s directives in the battle to liberate the occupied provinces, achieve renewed independence, and begin a new stage under the banner of Yemeni unity.
Rally-goers across all provinces stressed the necessity of resisting the occupier and using all possible means to expel it and cleanse Yemeni soil of its presence and that of its agents and mercenaries.
They delivered a clear message to all enemies and their proxies: Yemen will remain a graveyard for invaders, and the liberation project is inevitable—there is no place for division or conspiracies aimed at undermining Yemeni unity.
They stated that the mass mobilization on the 58th Independence Day represents a culmination of steadfastness and revolutionary struggle, affirming dignity and honor, and shattering the illusions of the aggression, which has failed to impose its schemes on the Yemeni people.
Free Yemenis emphasized that the revolution which defeated British colonialism and forced its withdrawal from Aden and the southern provinces has instilled an enduring spirit of resistance in the national consciousness.
They asserted that the path toward liberation and completing independence continues with the same determination to expel the new occupiers and reject any foreign tutelage—an extension of the first independence and a firm course for solidifying national sovereignty over all Yemeni land.
They noted that Yemenis across the provinces fully understand their historic responsibility to confront occupation and its tools. Their silence will not continue, drawing strength from their deeply rooted legacy in the October 14 Revolution and the November 30 Independence epic.
They affirmed that the choices of free Yemenis throughout the homeland arise from one principle: complete liberation and the rejection of all forms of foreign domination.
Participants reaffirmed that the unity of Yemen—its land and people—is a deeply rooted, unwavering principle in their collective consciousness, and that all attempts to revive division or create fragmented entities collide with a popular will shaped by a long history of resistance against former colonial powers and an awareness of the schemes aimed at tearing apart Yemen’s geography and plundering its resources.
They also expressed pride in the development of Yemen’s military and defensive capabilities in recent years, considering it one of the fruits of popular steadfastness.
This progress, they said, has strengthened Yemen’s ability to protect its waters, islands, and strategic waterways, and has helped establish a new deterrence equation in the face of the United States, Britain, Israel, and their regional proxies.
They reaffirmed their continued support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, stressing that Palestine will remain the nation’s foremost and central issue.
They renewed their commitment to backing the Palestinian struggle until the liberation of its land and the expulsion of the Zionist occupier, emphasizing that no threats will break the will of the Yemeni people and their leadership or deter them from their honorable stance in supporting the causes of the Ummah.
The mass crowds explained that the battle the Yemeni people have been fighting for more than ten years is a battle for liberation and independence, and for defending the oppressed and confronting the United States, Israel, and their proxies in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. They noted that the steadfastness, faith-driven spirit, and resilience of Yemenis are sufficient to achieve victory, no matter how great the challenges.
The marches called on all Yemenis to remain prepared and fully ready for major mobilization to defend the nation and confront all forms of escalation and threats in order to protect Yemen’s dignity, honor, and the principles for which they struggle in the face of their enemies and in support of the Palestinian cause.
Statements issued by the mass rallies affirmed that today’s million-strong marches come as a celebration of Independence Day—commemorating “the departure of the last British soldier from Aden”—and as a reaffirmation of Yemen’s steadfast position in standing with the oppressed peoples of the Ummah, particularly the Palestinians and Lebanese. They declared their high readiness for the next round of confrontation with the enemy and its proxies.
The statements declared their commitment to carrying the banner of Islam and jihad as their ancestors once did, guided by Qur’anic awareness and noble values that embody true faith, as expressed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family): “Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni.”
All statements from the marches reaffirmed steadfastness, vigilance, and full readiness—militarily, security-wise, and across all official and popular fronts—for the upcoming stage of confrontation with the enemy and its agents.
They stressed that they will not abandon the path of struggle or retreat from their just positions, nor will they leave the Palestinian, Lebanese, or any oppressed people to face the Zionist enemy alone, relying on Allah and trusting in His promise of the inevitable end of the temporary Zionist entity.
They also extended congratulations to the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, President Mahdi al-Mashat, and the Yemeni people in both the north and south on the occasion of Independence Day—the anniversary marking the departure of the last British soldier from Aden—after an occupation that lasted nearly 128 years and during which Britain committed grave crimes.
The statements added that this occasion honors the memory of the martyrs, heroes, and revolutionary icons who engraved their names in history with letters of light and expelled an empire once described as “the one on which the sun never sets”—only for the sun to set on it as it departed in defeat by the grace of Allah.
They emphasized that as the Yemeni people commemorate this great occasion, they remind all tyrants of the world—foremost among them the American-British-Israeli trio and their regional proxies—that extinction is the inevitable fate of every occupier, no matter how long its stay or how great its power and tyranny.
The statements also conveyed a message to oppressed peoples in the region and around the world: that nations are capable of achieving victory, no matter how dark the night of occupation or how vast the power imbalance may be, as long as there is will, resolve, reliance on Allah, mutual support, and unity.
They stressed that this occasion highlights the heroism and sacrifice embodied by the free revolutionaries who defeated the occupier and also exposes the ugliness, treachery, and disgrace of those who betrayed Allah, His Messenger, and their own people by aligning with the foreign occupier—becoming key enablers of its domination.
The statements concluded by noting that, in the end, the occupier was defeated, expelled, and removed, and the people regained their dignity, honor, and land.
The free and faithful were immortalized with badges of honor, steadfastness, and loyalty, while the traitors were left to bear the shame of betrayal and the curses of generations—awaiting the same inevitable fate that now awaits the new invaders and occupiers.
