Al-Zahra School in the center of Hajjah province held a cultural event on Saturday to commemorate the birth of Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
Speaking at the gathering, attended by Deputy Governor Ahmad al-Akhfash and Judge Abdul-Majid Sharaf al-Din, head of the Grievance Authority’s local branch, Abdulaziz al-Wurafi of the Scholars’ Unit highlighted ongoing attempts by enemies to erase the legacy of the Leader of the Women of the World by removing her from school curricula—an effort, he said, to detach the nation from one of its most sacred figures. He described Fatimah (peace be upon her) as the highest model for the Muslim woman.
He stressed that commemorating her birth is a spiritual moment that renews adherence to the values and principles embodied by the greatest woman in history, drawing lessons from her profound place in the heart of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and from her exemplary faith-driven life.
In remarks delivered by senior educational officials—including the local Statistics Office director Abdul-Majid, educational sector deputies Jamal al-Ghashimi and Yahya al-Mukhtar, and Nabil al-Hajjaji, principal of al-Madani Excellence School—Mustafa Sabah, head of the educational sector in the provincial center, underscored the importance of honoring the birth of Fatimah al-Zahra to reconnect with her true biography.
He described the occasion as an opportunity to correct distorted notions and to highlight the highest example of a believing woman and her pivotal role in supporting her father, the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family), who bestowed upon her the title “Mother of Her Father.”
The event, attended by educators and community figures, also included the honoring of the former head of the educational sector along with performances and chants marking the occasion.
