Iran’s elite military force reported on Monday that it had struck senior Israeli leadership targets in the latest phase of its ongoing retaliation.

In a statement carried by Iranian media, the IRGC said that during the 10th wave of Operation 'True Promise 4', it targeted the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as well as the location of the commander of the Israeli air force. “The fate of the Israeli prime minister is unknown,” the IRGC added.

The IRGC also confirmed in an earlier statement that the tenth wave saw the deployment of Kheibar ballistic missiles, which Tehran says “opened huge doors of fire” across occupied territory and struck the government complex in Tel Aviv, military and security centers in Haifa, and targets in occupied al-Quds.

Air-raid sirens, the statement said, would continue across the occupied interior, and residents near military, government, and security facilities were urged to clear those areas.

Tehran under assault

The campaign comes in direct response to the unprovoked US-Israeli aggression launched on February 28 against Iran, which targeted multiple cities while diplomatic and nuclear negotiations were ongoing.

The joint assault struck several major urban centers, including Tehran, Qom, Tabriz, and Khorramshahr. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the time that the “joint US-Israeli operation against Iran aims to reshape the region’s strategic landscape,” claiming it sought to eliminate what he termed an “existential threat.”

Iranian authorities reported significant civilian deaths resulting from the strikes. The Iranian Red Crescent Society announced that 201 people were killed and 747 were injured nationwide. Iranian state media also confirmed that the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, was martyred while carrying out his duties.

Measured Retaliation

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces launched successive waves of ballistic missiles and drones toward “Israel,” with impacts reported in Tel Aviv and other areas across the occupied Palestinian territories. Strikes were also reported against US military bases and assets hosted in several Gulf states, widening the confrontation beyond a direct Iranian-Israeli exchange.

Iranian authorities and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps have vowed that the path of resistance will continue and that accountability will be pursued against those responsible for grave crimes against the Iranian nation.
