The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates praised the statements made by Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi during his meeting with editors-in-chief of local newspapers, in which he affirmed that the war against the Islamic Republic of Iran is illegitimate and that its real objectives are to weaken Iran, reshape the region, advance the normalization agenda, prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, and weaken all those who support that project.
In a statement, the Ministry commended the Omani foreign minister’s remarks and his confirmation that a broader plan targeting the region exists. It also welcomed his reaffirmation of the Sultanate of Oman’s rejection of normalization with the Israeli enemy entity and its refusal to join what is referred to as the “Peace Council,” as well as its rejection of providing any level of support that could contribute to the war against Iran or to any other war.
The Ministry also praised Oman’s responsible and balanced position, noting that it reflects the Sultanate’s approach based on building bridges of dialogue and supporting peaceful solutions to conflicts. It added that this courageous stance represents the voice of reason and wisdom, accurately describes the reality of the situation, and offers a precise reading of the current developments.
The statement called on Arab and Islamic countries to follow the example of the Sultanate of Oman by adopting responsible and balanced positions, to recognize the plots being woven against the entire nation, and to stand alongside Iran, which it described as fighting the battle of the entire Islamic nation against American-Israeli tyranny and global Zionism, and not to become involved in any war against it.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed Yemen’s appreciation for Oman’s constructive role in the Yemeni file, noting that it is highly valued by the Yemeni people and reflects the historic and brotherly relations that bind the two countries and their peoples.
