Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has warned of the continued and escalating aggression by the Israeli enemy against Palestine and Lebanon, accusing it of exploiting the developments unfolding across the region.
In a statement, the ministry strongly condemned the Zionist enemy’s targeting of infrastructure in Lebanon, including bridges, describing such actions as a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and international humanitarian law.
The ministry stressed that the efforts of the Lebanese government should be focused on confronting the Israeli enemy rather than directing hostility toward regional parties, as occurred today with regard to Iran.
This came in parallel with the announcement by what it described as the Zionist “defense minister” of plans to occupy vast areas of southern Lebanon up to the Litani River.
According to the statement, the position issued by the Lebanese Foreign Ministry came at a time when the Islamic Republic of Iran is fighting what it described as the battle of the Muslim nation, while Hezbollah is engaged in a struggle for liberation, independence, and dignity.
The statement argued that the appropriate course should have been to support Iran and Hezbollah and work toward confronting the Israeli occupation and expelling it from southern Lebanon.
The ministry also condemned the repeated attacks carried out by settler groups against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, warning that such actions reflect a dangerous escalation in policies of repression and aggression against the Palestinian people.
It further warned against the continued closure of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to worshippers, stressing that the move constitutes a provocation to Muslims worldwide.
The statement cautioned that keeping the mosque closed could ignite severe repercussions for the Zionist entity and destabilize the security of the entire region.
The ministry reaffirmed Yemen’s firm and principled stance in support of the Palestinian people until they obtain all their legitimate rights—foremost among them the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state on all their national territory with Jerusalem as its capital.
Finally, it expressed the full solidarity of Yemen with the brotherly Lebanese people and their valiant resistance, affirming their legitimate right to defend their land, their people, and their sovereignty by all lawful means.
